An update (1.05) for our #ABeautifulMess App just hit the app store! We're happy to announce we're finally able to offer the undo/redo feature! Now, if you place a font, border, phrase, etc., you can just swipe left to undo or swipe right redo something you've just undone. Simple, right?
I can't tell you how much the whole team here just browses the #ABeautifulMess hashtag to look at all your wonderful creations. We get kind of obsessed!! So from time to time we're going to start featuring some of our favorites here on the blog (with permission of course) and credit the Instagram account. So keep 'em coming!
Update 1.04 issues and how to restore your purchases
For those of you who installed the 1.04 update that came out Tuesday night, you might have noticed some missing bonus packs in the app. There was a bug that didn't come up in testing but affected a lot users. We found the problem and promptly developed 1.05 to fix the issue. If you still aren't seeing bonus packs you've previously purchased, we added a "RESTORE PURCHASES" right on the bottom left corner of the home screen that will make sure you get everything back. Sorry for any confusion that caused!
Leave us a review in the app store!
We're learning new stuff every day about the app world, and a big one is how the review system works. The reviews that affect the rating that everyone sees reset with every update. That means that all the sweet reviews you left us on the first version aren't part of the rating people see anymore. If our app maintains a high rating, it continues to stay strong in the app store, and we can continue to put out new updates with more features and fun stuff! So if you still enjoy the app, just open it up in the App Store and leave us a review.

I just purchased a beautiful mess plus for iPad and either I’m super slow or this is nothing as its advertised to be. How can I contact someone? I was really excited about it but disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe what I’m feeling now that I’ve been working in it. I don’t see any of the editing options shown in the app description. Hey Elsie and Emma! Wanted to download your app today and By mistake I downloaded A Beautiful Mess Plus by John Harlampa, not Red Velvet. Is that app connected in any way that you know of with you? The design is really bad and it seems like a cheap rip off your app. I did download your original one though and I love it!

In the app store there are 2 “A Beautiful Mess” apps with the same logo and same price, one of them is called Plus.
This was extremely confusing since both look the same, I bought the Plus one because it had better reviews so I thought it would be the “proper” one, but when I opened it didn’t look right at all, so I assumed that the Plus app is a con from somebody else. Are you already aware of this? this looks really dodgy.

When I searched the app store, I saw two apps. The first that came up was ‘A Beautiful Mess’ and then the second one was ‘A Beautiful Mess Plus’. Are they both your app? Which one is better and why are there two?

I have bought the app just yesterday and I’m already in love with it. Pictures can change so much when you simply add some text. And the fonts are gorgeous. I can’t imagine all the work it took – but it really paid off!! Thank you so much for that great app.

I too brought this for my iPad and the menu and everything I can find pertaining to the software doesn’t apply to the iPad version and the menu options and functionality is not the same. I’m a software analyst and for the life of me, I annotate get this one picture that deleted that continually gets added as a default background and cannot be deleted. Please help or provide guidance as to how to use the iPad version of this software, as its very frustrating purchasing an application that is useless. Thank you.

I had high hopes for this app after reading reviews but it doesn’t seem to be working for me. It is extremely slow compared to my other apps and it gets stuck frequently. The pic folders also show pics that aren’t even in those folders when I click on them. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but that didn’t help either. I have an iPad 3 with plenty of space. Can you recommend a fix for this?
I swear I check weekly for this app to be on android. I cannot wait!
