At Home With Viviana Agostinho

At Home With Viviana AgostinhoWe are so happy to welcome Viviana Agostinho to the blog today to share her amazing living room and dining area with us! Such a fun, colorful room! At Home With Viviana Agostinho via A Beautiful Mess"I live in a 950-square-foot apartment in Mountain View, California, with my husband and our two kitties. When we bought the apartment back in 2007, it was a very boring space: beige walls and carpet, popcorn ceiling and absolutely no personality at all (you can see the before here). We did all the renovation by ourselves, and although we're still not 100% done, it quickly became my favorite place in the world!" Love every single thing in this photo"The most unusual decor item in my space is certainly the wallpaper with the wooden deer head. There's a stand-alone wall right at the middle of the living room that's actually the back of our teeny-tiny kitchen. I knew I wanted to spice it up and make it an accent wall — since, to be fair, there isn't a lot of purpose in that space. I found a German website that sells vintage wallpaper by the roll and decided to go with it. Then I got the deer head as a birthday gift from my husband, which is an unusual birthday gift, but I simply loved it. This wall is the first thing you see when you enter the apartment, and it makes quite a statement."
So many beauties! In LOVE with this vintage inspired room"The living and dining rooms (which are actually just one open space) are the heart of our home. This is where my husband and I spend our time together after coming home from work. We're huge TV fanatics, so the TV will be on for sure. And we'll each have a cat on our feet or our lap. We love mixing drinks using our makeshift vintage bar (which is actually just a collector cabinet from Ikea that we put some mirrors at the back for an added bizazz) and watch DVDs." The BEST collectionGorgeous dining area"We've been living in this apartment for six years, and it has changed quite a bit. To be honest, I don't think we'll ever finish it for good, because we just love decorating and diy projects so much. Take us to the paint section of a Home Depot and we'll be like kids in a candy store. If we're ever like 'okay, I think we're done here', I think it might be time to find a new space to tackle!"
