Ok, ok, we know we're already a few days into November, but we had such an exciting October we couldn't help but reminisce about a few of our favorite things. On the top of our excitement list is our new studio house! We can't wait to get started on that giant project and make the space our own.
We also shared Elsie's four simple goals before 2014 and we can't wait to see what goals you guys have made and how your accomplish them. October was a busy month full of DIY projects as well (like this hand stamped clementine wall). Doesn't it look so cheery and bright?
We also gave you step by step tutorials of how to style a gallery wall, make a color blocked mood board, create a unique welcome mat, make your own modern pendant lamp, decorate cork idea journals, and craft simple wooden cutting boards (what a great gift idea!).There were some of our favorite fall cocktails on the blog this month (like our chai martini and spiked apple cider float). Our mouths are still watering from these pretzel bread bowls, cheesy apple pie, spicy skillet spinach artichoke dip, and homemade Twix bars (to die for!).
Of course, what would October be without a few Halloween costume ideas like Katie's Bjork swan dress or Peter Pan and the Lost Boys family costume. We also featured this skull string art, a boo banner, animal headbands, and three ideas for your Halloween party table.
October was also a month full of style as Katie showed us how to wear a simple Dutch braid and a fishtail braid and Elsie and Emma showed a little sister style love to 90s fashion and pumpkin spice lattes.
October was another chance to peek into more adorable homes. Don't you just love the way that Natasha Denness, Kelly Moore Clark, Jess Rasmussen, and Maria Tchajkova have decorated their spaces? We also had some fun travel opportunities last month to go and visit our pal Rachel in Colorado Springs, and Emma and Trey spent a music-filled weekend in Austin for the Austin City Limits festival. We made sure to be home long enough to have a classic fire pit party in Emma's backyard (who wants a S'more??).
As you can see, our fall is off to a running start, but we can't wait to get going on our new studio house and all the exciting holiday projects we have in store! xo. Elsie (+ Emma)
