today we spent a beautiful day exploring the city of Chicago. here are a few photos from our lovely day…
we visited tons of vintage shops. i found a few cute dresses and a dress for miss rachel too!
Molly's Cupcakes…. wow. such an adorable little shop!
the swings for 'bar stools' were my favorite design element. so clever!
not an easy choice, but here's what we ordered…
carrot cake and blueberry cheesecake cupcakes.
we had thai food for lunch and falafel for dinner (my fave!). we did lots of girly shopping, but also found a charming new outfit for mr. larson. oh… and (not that i needed them, but….) i found a new pair of glasses!
it was a wonderful & inspiring day! thank you to Ellen, Rowena and all of you wonderful readers who suggested places for us to visit! tomorrow we're going to attend a wedding. i can't wait… i really love weddings.

chicago looks great! i work at a restaurant in edmonton, canada and tonight i served people from chicago. they were so incredibly nice and i really liked their accents. i would like to visit one day and will definitely have to check out the cupcakery with swings!
My grandpa used to have glasses similar to your new ones… he was disappointed when he had to get a new pair recently, but couldn’t find a pair just like his old ones… I was kinda disappointed too.
aww I’m so jealous! I went to Chicago for the first time in March and instantly fell in love. I also like how you had thai and falafel in the same day…those are both my favs! Have a good time at the wedding.

I think it’s so amazing living so faaaar away from you, that I will have such a different weekend. An Aussie weekend. I’ll go do the Soccer thing with my boy and then I’ll be delivering artwork to appear in the local show. Then I’m sure there will be some beachy stuff in there somewhere. Have a good one E.
