There is one flavor that I get completely obsessed with this time of year: cinnamon! So, we’ve created a spicy but sweet cocktail that combines this flavor along with a few unexpected ones as well. We are excited to work with Kahlúa and participate in #KahluaHoliday on this recipe. We recently got to host a cocktail and craft night with Kahlúa in NYC, and we did some taste testing. Everyone loved this surprising drink, and we think you’ll love it too.
It’s simple enough to make, as you can see in this video we made.
Cinnamon Girl, serves one.
1/2 to 1 ounce Kahlúa
1 ounce rum
1/4 teaspoon (or small squirt) cream of coconut
juice from 1/2 an orange
5-6 oz. pineapple juice
1/8 teaspoon (or a big pinch) of cinnamon
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and mix well. Pour over ice and serve with a cinnamon stick and/or orange slice.
Be sure to give this cocktail a try and let us know what you think. Enjoy! xo. Emma + Elsie

Yay, it’s an ABM video! I always love when these get posted. Coconut, rum, and pineapple juice are such a classic combo, but it had never occurred to me to add cinnamon as well. Love the twist 🙂

Aw, fun. Cinnamon is my favorite, too.
If you’ve never tried it, Harney’s Hot Cinnamon Spice teas are life-changing: https://www.harney.com/hot-cinnamon-spice-tea.html Decaf, Regular, Green… all three varieties are deliciously sweet and spicy. And, I am writing this comment as I am drinking my second cup of the day.
Yummy. Thanks for sharing!
Love the name of this cocktail! The cinnamon stick is a cute touch.

I’m pretty much the only person I know who doesn’t like cinnamon with anything besides sugar or apples, but without the cinnamon I think I’d love this drink! Also the title totally got me humming that Neil Young song.

Sounds great! Unfortunately in my country I don’t think I can find Kahlua… 🙁 Can I replace it with something else?

I love it!!! Great video! Thanks for sharing. Looks delicious. I will try it!
I’m not a big rum fan, what’s a good replacement? Love to try it though!
Hi Krista,
I would choose vodka to replace the rum, since it’s so mild. 🙂 You won’t even notice since there are a lot of other more powerful flavors in this drink!
xx- Elsie
Kahlua is coffee liqueur that is rum based. So either coffee liqueur or rum could be a good replacement. XX! Elsie
yum!!
