A few weeks ago I had a delicious cinnamon and lime cocktail at a restaurant in Chicago. I couldn't get it out of my mind, so I decided to make my own version at home!
Cinnamon Sour
2 ounces Amaretto
1 ounce Jameson
1/2 ounce Sweetened Lime Juice
3 Cinnamon Sticks
A sprinkle of ground cinnamon
Juice of 1 lime
Club Soda, to top it off
Mix all ingredients and serve with ice. Enjoy this refreshing and offbeat cocktail! You'll be surprised how much you like it!
Sidenote, I have been trying ideas for a metallic/glass dishes set I want to make. I've been testing out different paints. Have you found anything amazing that you would recommend? xo. Elsie
PS. If you liked this, you should check out Wasabi Bloody Mary, Cucumber Margarita, Blood Orange Bloody Mary, Peppermint White Russian, and Simple Whiskey Sours.

I’ll have to put this recipe in my future file, since I’m pregnant, but it sounds delicious. I’m going to make a Pinterest board called “After Baby” starting with this drink.
What a cute cocktail, love the flavors!
Hi Elsie! Have you ever experimented with liquid silver/gold leaf? I used it on some small vases last year. It beautiful and opaque, and way easier than traditional leafing. [ the only thing i don’t know is how it holds up in the dishwasher. ]
This is a gorgeous cocktail! I love the speckles of cinnamon throughout ๐
Mmmm, sounds like a good combination!

What a yummy cocktail…must try:-)!! I enjoy all your suggested cocktails so refreshing and delicious.
I’ve had great kuck with Martha Stewart glass paints and then just baked them on. I also have used MS reguar paints and finished it up with her glass paints for lasting results. I’ve painted platters, wine glasses, bowls, etc. all with hardy results. I’ve noticed that glitter based paints have a stronger hold.
Love, love both your amazing ideas:-)
Mhhhm this drink looks soo sparkling refreshing good!
And I love everything with cinnamon and lime!
Whitch paint did you use for your DIY??
I just did a DIY spray-painting vases in gold and silver, might wanna try spraying them, although this might be difficult with little pieces…
xoxo
I use Martha Stewart’s Glass Paints and I love them!
abirdsdailylifetale, I used Martha Stewart all purpose paint on this one. Waiting to see how it holds up after several washes! ๐

I’ve never had cinnamon in a cocktail but looks delish so I’ll have to give it a try! The paint that I love to use on glassware is Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glass Paint, I’ve found it in at craft stores and online (about the same price). There are a TON of different fun colors that are very translucent but with more coats it becomes darker, it all depends on what kind of look you’re going for. Bake it in the oven for about 20 min when you’re done, let it cool and you’re good to go! Hopefully that was helpful, happy glass painting! http://www.dickblick.com/products/pebeo-vitrea-160-glass-paint/
GOLD LEAF!!!!

Have your tried Martha Stewarts Glass paints? I know she has a range of metallics and they hold up really well.

I’ve been experimenting with the Krylon Mirror Finish spray paint. I painted a wine bottle in the mirror finish and it came out very pretty. The spray paint is very liquid-y, so you would have to pain anything like that in small bursts, but the end result is beautiful if you plan to keep the designs small.

This cocktail will be perfect for sipping on the porch this weekend! I love the first photo.
