Today we want to show you how to make some super cute color blocked booties. Emma and I had some short boots, but we wanted to add something to make them more interesting. We painted these in an afternoon. Mine are brown with black and hers are black with gold…
Here's what we did… 1. Find a pair of boots that you like. 2. Mark the area you want to paint. You can use matte fabric paint or screen printing ink. I also love Matha Stewart's multi surface craft paint, that's what we used for the gold pair. 3. Paint your shoes. Ours took three coats. 4. Let them dry completely and then wear them out. You can be proud that you gave your pair so much more personality!
We both wore them to work at our vintage shop today! I'm also wearing a vintage dress borrowed from Katie (HAPPY B-DAY, KATIE!) and a heart cardigan c/o Lace Affair.
Emma wore hers with a heart dress c/o Francesca's with a vintage top and purple tights. And because I know some of you will ask, here's how to style your hair like Em.
Hope you're having a lovely day! We're working like crazy on a bunch of blog projects for next week. Just you wait… xo. elsie and emma

Åh thats so smart and cute way to upgrade a boring shoe.
I just bought your Blog e-course at Red Velvet and have read the first lesson and i love it. Im shocked about what you wrote about how people behaved in your previous blog. That people did that with your divorce makes me sick. I mean how boring must their lives be if they have to do that to get some excitement…

Ah! This is brilliant! So simple and yet it makes the bootie so much more interesting! I love the gold! Maybe if you are feeling a little more bold you could even find like a buttery brown bootie and add a red or cobalt blue accent. I think that would look very nice as well. Thanks for sharing!

brilliant! they came out so well, too! awesome stuff.
I might have to try this on my old tennis shoes…does the paint stay on well? That’s my only concern, that it will rub off quickly.
I have been looking for shoes EXACTLY like that, what brand are the boots you used for this?
Thanks for the tutorial!
I love this — what a wonderful craft you smart ladies!

Were the black and gold shoes already black or were they painted black. Love these.
Where did you get the shoes? Love them! Are they a certain brand that I could try to find?

I’m making these tonight and tomorrow! This is such a good idea for my raggedy old booties to be a little refinished and personalized! You can even add polka dots or something 🙂
Love this! Where are the boots from originally?
Yes you can use them to write checks get cash etc. BUT it is a huge mitakse!Rip the checks up ASAP they give you 6 months with 0% interest but charge you a fee to cash the check and they know you can’t pay it all off in 6 months. They will get thier money from you don’t fall into this credit trap!Live debt free! It is a wonderful feeling.
My sweet friend, reidnag your story brought tears to my eyes every child is a blessing, yours is simply divine .May God bless you and continue to bless your beautiful family!love ya, Marirosa

You guys want to know the secret to sucecss? Keep trying. No really keep trying, never give up. I’m only in my third month and have managed to crack into the $2k bracket last week. It feels good, damn good.If you want to be good at AM, you have to be able to know a lot of things. You gotta know some html, php, photoshop, gotta know how to talk to people through your computer and you gotta have passion to sit their for hours on end figuring everything out.I can’t tell you how much Ubs blog has helped me, when I first started I had no clue what he was talking about regarding landing pages and keywords. But now I find myself going back to his posts and having ah hah moments, that have got me on the right track to becoming an Uber. Also you’ll be surprised at what converts and what doesn’t, I’m totally amazed at what makes money and what doesn’t. This means you’ve gotta try different things out and spend money. Your not going to start off with $1 and make millions. But you can start of with a $10 domain and some $3 dollar montlhy hosting and make $Gs. I did. Also for those starting out, make a site on something you like, so you can learn the ins and outs of site making and getting visitors. After that focus on making affiliate sites, because afterall your going to need a base white hat site to show off to the networks so they accept you in the first place.Whoa, this should be a guest post.
I’m a newbie to Facebook but have been using LinkedIn and Twitter for a while. It has been faatinscing to watch how differently my networks evolve on each. And yes, FB has been the time machine experience. It is also becoming a fun and effective way to have more communication with my extended family. My cousin set up a group for the Grandchildren of Terra Torrey — just us cousins. My husband thinks it is a fad. I think FB and other social networking sites are an evolution of the human need to connect. It’s an extension of the newspaper, the telegraph, the railway. I wonder where we will go next?

Good job Pualie. Found you site from Wes’s page and loving it. I’m skpaning new to this aff thing and from what most tell, me they lose money. Not sure how you did it, you shared some of your tactics but really not enough to help the rest of us newbs. We, of course are envy so a bow is in order. BOW
Congrats Paul, this is freaking amianzg. Im very impressed, and hope I will beat you one day :-)) For now I just need to make some startmoney, fumbling around with too many projects to clearly understand the affiliate programs and how to set them up properly in order to make money.
Paul,Congratulations! I would say your first year as an affiliate matkreer was a success! Do you do search, mail, web or all of the above? Good luck with your projects that you have planned. A post like this inspires the small affiliate matkreers, so keep em coming!~Debby
