Hi guys! Ready for week two of #decemberdaily? I felt torn this week. I was sick with a bad cold for most of the week and I didn't take even ONE slr camera photo. I was bummed when I realized this yesterday. But on the other hand, I'm happy with how much of our life was still documented with the good ole iPhone and almost no effort!
Here are my pages from this week:
My sister-in-law brought her camera to Jeremy's parent's home last week for a family portrait. This is so special for us to have and will probably end up being our favorite page in the book in future years. (Thanks Katrina!)
Decorating gingerbread houses with our niece and nephews was my favorite moment from last weekend. It was actually REALLY hard to get the houses to stick together, but they had fun!
Jeremy was pleased when I showed him that Waffle House earned a full page photo this week. :D
Last night we had our annual holiday party. It was SO much fun. All of the photos I have were dark iPhone photos with weird lighting but that's ok! I left that last little spot to journal on. I realized that my journaling is a little more comfortable and candid when I write it as something that just Jeremy and I will see.
Thanks for taking a look at my progress for the week. My goals for the coming week are to take some slr camera photos. Maybe try to capture our holiday decor at home and an outing or two. My bestie Rachel is coming to stay this week. I can't wait!! How was your week? xo. Elsie

Beautiful! ♥
I can’t believe it’s week two already, it seems you posted week one just yesterday. December is flying (just like the whole year)!
I love it xxx
Both of the photos of you & Jeremy are totally adorable! I love all of the colors from this week. 🙂
The family portraits are so beautiful! It would be my favorite page as well.
Kindness is the best accessory,
Rebecca

I love the family pic, I have too few of those myself (especially with myself in them)! 🙂
What a cute cute cute book! I find I’m too busy (read: lazy) to make a legit scrapbook! Might just nab this idea up!

I’m so sorry you were sick. I hope you feel much better very soon!
Cute! Hope you’re feeling better!
Love seeing your pages for the week! Your style is so fresh and inspiring. Here is my favorite Dec Daily spread from the week, writing about blessings on the 12th 🙂

how did you make this? i would love to have something like this for 2014!
i LOVE this idea, i have to try this out
Sorry to be the worst, but it’s spelled niece! After seeing this in several articles I had to say something since it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
I love this. And forgive me if someone already asked this, but how do you round the corners of the pictures? Is there a tool for this?
Hi Cat!
I’m not sure what your specific question is. If you are curious what album I’m using it came from a kit from Studio Calico. 🙂
Let me know if I can give you any more details!

Gingerbread houses are SO hard to get to stick together. When my mom would throw big gingerbread parties for me and my friends growing up, she would ask the kids and their parents if we actually planned to eat the houses. If the answer was “no” she would offer to hot glue the house together because it was so much easier that way. haha.
Love it.

Really lovely as always Elise. I know you are super busy but I would really love advice on how you cut such beautiful rounded corners on your prints

Thank you!!!! You are the sweetest 🙂
In case you are wondering they sell a similar album at Target, it is a Handbook album. They come in different colors at different kraft stores, but I have only seen the red border one there (other than online at SC).
Hello Elsie, as a French girl I was wondering where you found this photo album (at least the plastic pockets with different sizes.) I’ve always wanted to began scrapbooking but these different sizes pockets would be wonderful.
Marion xx;
Inspired me to start this! I was wondering what size is the album, is it smaller then 12×12?
It is soo beautiful 🙂
Love it! There is something so great about actually printing photos. I certainly need to do that more!
I *love* seeing your pages!! It’s my favorite post of the week and I don’t even do December Daily. Thanks so much for sharing, Elsie. Love, love, love your albums.
The sticking part is always the meanest when making gingerbread houses. I remember that my Mom stopped to make self baked ones with us, because it was too frustrating. They fell apart so often.
Have you ever about the world´s biggest gingerbread town, btw? It´s located in Bergen, Norway and called `Pepperkakebyen´ (a little video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNqdxTCy5q0).
I love this idea! It’s wonderful to see your photos all in one place from what you’ve been up to 🙂

be well!
This is such a lovely idea. What a beautiful keepsake!
Hi Elsie!
Love this, what kit are you using from studio calico?
It looks much smaller and more manageable than the big project life scrapbooks!
Love it!!
I love the sparkly outfits from the holiday party!!

I want to get the kit you are using (album and pages). Where can I get that? I love scrapbooking, but with my current life is almost impossible to do the traditional way and your post give me the idea to try in a different way. Thanks for all the ideas and inspiration.
Your albums looks great and are a real inspiration for me as I want to tackle memory-making using Project Life. I can’t find out how big your album is? It looks from your photo pages that you are not using the huge albums (12 x 12, i think?) and are maybe using a smaller album? I clicked on the Studio Calico link but couldn’t find dimensions. Would love to know how big, how big are the pocket pages and any of your thoughts on smaller vs bigger album. I bought a few of the 12 x 12 binders and I’m finding them a bit hard to fit on my shelves and harder to make spreads out of them as there’ so much room to fill. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
