This next D.I.Y. round up is full of sweet treats! Emma created this gorgeous dessert table for Le Wedding Party last week. She had tons of great tips for creating elegant dessert tables! I think this would be just perfect for a holiday party!
Try a mid-century modern gingerbread house like these by Cincinnati Modernation and Katie Cupcake.

aw the gingerbread houses are my faves :3
my favorite holiday treat is coconut rumballs. We make them after thanksgiving and let them marinate in the fridge for like a month. They’re soooooo much better than normal rumballs!
Love the candy cane drink. Looks delicious!
yum! I want that candy cane cooler right now!!!
Last week I invented a candy cane based cocktail. I am yet to blog it but I can tell you it was pretty special.

Our family tradition has always been a supper of cinnamon rolls with peanut butter, potato sausage and wine… Ever since I can remember! A bit strange I suppose, but it’s tradition!

Emma’s dessert table is fantastic! Our traditional Christmas meal is Caribbean chicken, coconut lime rice, ginger coconut carrots, and a pomegranate walnut salad. So yummy and brings the tropics to our snowy town. That is the beauty of starting a new tradition, you can pick whatever you want! Happy holidays!
How fantastic!! yum yum!
That dessert table looks gorgeous! Every year since I can remember, my mom has bought delicious Belgium coffee cakes from a local bakery for Christmas breakfast. All of my brothers and I are all out and married and she still buys us our Christmas coffee cakes. This year, along with coffee cake, I’m starting a new tradition with my little family. I found a recipe for slow cooker oatmeal. I’m going to put it on before bed Christmas eve and wake up to delicious smell apple cinnamon oatmeal to go with our Christmas morning coffee cake. Sometimes, we make a HUGE breakfast for Christmas ever supper…eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy–the works!
Oh, my! Those gingerbread houses are awesome! And Emma’s display is too.
My favorite holiday treat doesn’t look as pretty as the cute gingerbread houses, but…I love fudge and really only meat it or make it once a year;)
Love that cocktail idea! Also, thanks for the white snowscape of a table idea. I have a penguin baby shower coming up, and though the colors are a wee bit different, you’ve inspired me to stick to “more white.” Thanks for that. 😉
The mini gingerbread houses are so divine! I almost wouldn’t want to eat them.
In our family we always have chipolatas, mashed potatoes with mustard, and caramelised onions on Christmas Eve, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
love love love those mini houses on the coffee mugs! too precious!
peace. love. create.

Hej Elsie,
Some favourite Christmas treats all the way from Sweden are lussebullar (saffron buns) and glögg (Swedish mulled wine). If you’d like to add a little piece of Scandinavia to your festivities I have recipes written in English on my site.
