We are in the thick of summer where we live. It’s, like, seriously hot you guys. I’m so glad I decided to go ahead and splurge by getting my car air conditioner fixed last month. It may be hot, but I’m still standing by the fact that summer is my time of year. I love sandals, cool summer nights, breezy maxi dresses and summer kitchen experiments (like ice cream!). I’m starting to feel more inspired as our schedules are settling down finally. I’m gonna be home a little more the next few months, and Trey and I have plenty of plans. We want to work on cleaning out the garage (wedding project mania happened there and it… uh… shows). We dreamed up how we want to deck out our home office (what goes good with guitars and a sewing machine?). And we may or may not be saving to install a hot tub in our back yard. Spoiler: we are! Do you have any big summer projects planned?
I just got my a/c fixed, too! It was broken for a year, and as soon as the first sweltering Saturday rolled around, I knew I couldn’t spend another D.C. summer just melting.
Jordan and I are hoping to do some DIY lighting in our basement area and add some type of bar down there as well. We just got a new deck at the house, so I have quite a few things I want to do with that.
This is possibly the best wish list ever. I want everything on it! My plans for summer are travel and prepare for uni. Both really really exciting things, but definitely not ones that leave me with money to splurge on pretty clothes.
i love the number two shoes and sun glasses, perfect for summer! I am a big fan of hot weather too since here in Minnesota most of the year it’s freezing, I try to embrace the summer as much as I can!
#7 is definitely on my ModCloth wishlist as well 🙂 My big summer project is finally committing to where the art is going to go on our walls. One big wall is just staring at me asking to be filled with lots and lots of pictures.

Those wedges are so pretty! Sadly for me summer has ended a month ago and it’s already the rainy season. Although it could be really hot during summer days, the rainy season feels terrible. Hi Emma! You have wonderful taste and I think we have a lot in common. I’m a fan of the ombre look and have been meaning to get a tank like #5 for some time. I love the #2 wedges but I have so many already. I guess I can never have too many shoes! (especially in the summer) Btw, #6 is a gorgeous maxi dress and I’d love to pull one off someday 🙂
Those jelly heels are awesome! I remember jelly sandals were all the rage when I was little. They always hurt my feet, though. I think I still have a scar from them:)
