There's just something about a Farmers' Market on a Saturday morning. We woke up early and walked over the the Ferry Building to explore and meet our pal, Katrina, for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to see a huge farmer's market lining the building. It was such a nice place to hang out for a few hours before we had to catch a flight. I'm pretty sure I could snap photos of fruits and vegetables all day…
We tried steamed milks (vanilla + raspberry) from Cowgirl Creamery and we loved them. Delicious! Thank you Liz for recommending this.
We love SF! We had such a nice time. It was fun to to meet new friends and get inspired. Hope your Sunday is amazing… elsie + emma

I live in Oakland now, but I lived in SF for four years and made a point to visit the Ferry Building farmers market at least once a month! It’s definitely the largest and most impressive in San Francisco (though there are dozens of other, more intimate and community-driven markets throughout the city that are worth visiting too). Glad you two had a lovely time in my favorite city ๐
Those veggies and fruits look super fresh!! Each time I read a post about SF it makes me want to just buy a ticket right now!

I am so glad market season is upon us!! My mom runs farmers markets in Oregon and I have to say, the markets out here in Connecticut are lame by comparison! Those carrots are amazing! That’s how food should look ๐
Amazing color and texture in these photographs. Thank you for sharing! And I would have to agree that Farmer’s Markets make me happy too!

We went to the farmers’ market, too! The fresh produce always looks sooo good and makes me want to try new things. This time around we got “bright lights” swiss chard, dark green with rainbow-colored stalks/stems. We stir fried some of it with bacon, onions and peppers to put on top of homemade pizza.
I LOVE San Francisco and I love Farmers’ Markets also! Great pictures!

So glad you enjoyed my city!! It’s pretty spectacular. <3
Oh MY! Those colours are completely amazing and have inspired me enormously for a colourful sunday! I’ve just got a book about botanical dyeing, and these hues have given me plenty of ideas ๐ Glad you enjoyed SF – it’s a super duper place! Katie. xxx
If you ever come to Mexico, you should visit the Jamaica market! It’s the biggest market I’ve been to in my life! And it’s so exciting, I always discover something new!!!
It has fruits, vegetables and all the usual farmer’s market stuff, but their specialization is flowers!! You can find the most amazing flowers for ridiculous prices!! It’s incredible the amount of flowers they have and the creativity they have to create decorations and bouquets!!!
Going there really is exciting, and I bet you two would love it!!
Gahhh these pictures are to die for! I work at a farm, so seeing someone appreciate the fruits of farmers’ labor (ha ha, see what I did there? Sorry, I had to) is really nice. Hope you had a wonderful day!
