Coachella might be over but Faux-chella can live on forever in your heart (and on your head in a festival-inspired hairdo)! To me, festival hair is all about messy but adventurous style, and this knotted ponytail has both of those categories covered and should help keep you cool while you spend all day dancing outside – even if you’re only dancing around in your backyard!Step One: Take two sections of hair from either side of your face. Tie them in a knot.
Step Two: Take the two strands of your knot, wrap them around the rest of your hair, and tie them together towards the nape of your neck with a small elastic.
Step Three: Repeat the previous step; take two sections of hair from either side of your “ponytail” and tie them in a knot.
Step Four: Again, pull the sides around the rest of your hair (sometimes easier if you turn your head upside down and let all of the other hair fall forward) and secure with an elastic.
Step Five: Repeat another time, and then start carefully pulling at your ponytail between each knot to add volume.
Step Six: Add a few more knots if your hair is longer, or just pull your ponytail a bit more into a messier, fuller look.
That’s it! Easy, right? I love how this style looks as it gets messier and messier, perfect for those warmer days when you’re outside all day having a good time and too busy to worry about “maintaining” your look! I’m not going to any musical festivals this summer, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be rocking my faux-chella look and dancing outside on the weekends! Cheers, Rebecca.

Just gave this a quick trial and I really liked it! I think I will try it with clear elastics next time. Thanks 🙂
Such a cute hair style, don’t your arms kill afterwards though? Thats the problem I have haha x

It looks so impressive but is actually not that hard to do! Must try it out 😀
Love it! That looks like a weaving project – only on your head.

Oh I love this! Always looking for a fun new style to try out now that my hair is finally getting longer 🙂
Am I the only one who cannot focus on the ponytail because the tattoos are way too awesome not to look at them?
This hairdo looks so cool! Also, your tattoos ♥!

My hair is really long and I always struggle to keep it looking nice when I haven’t washed it in a few days (I usually wash it every 3 days and use dry shampoo in between). I usually go for a messy bun by day three but this might be a great solution! I’ll be trying it this afternoon after the gym.
This looks really extraordinary, I wish my hair was long enough to do this!

Love those thick, luscious locks! Takes A LOT of hair to manage this style though of course…maybe hair extensions could be the answer for those of us not blessed with such amazing hair! Love the styles, keep up the good work 😉
This looks gorgeous – and perfect for getting pesky festival hair off your face. For a more flower power effect you could weave in some fake flowers and glitter too?
