Watching a video is ESSENTIAL when learning a fishtail braid. Ya just gotta watch it over and over again. I miss having long hair and doing one of these when I had a bad hair day.

This video is SO helpful. I’ve tried and failed to do a fishtail many many times haha. But on my first try after watching this video, it came out looking pretty decent!

If I can do this, anyone can! Used a tutorial to learn how to fishtail. My daughter requested this hairstyle for her brother’s middle school graduation. Both sides were pulled back with a small white orchid tucked in the back where two fishtails met. So pretty, simple and classic. <3 the fishtail.../Users/terrycampbell/Desktop/photo-11.png
Love the simplicity.
Of course you can still do a fishtail! Personally I love to curl my hair and then do a fishtail braid because then as the day goes on and bits fall out they have a lovely little curl to them. Being able to do a fishtail braid is all about length, not hair type.
