This is such a magical time of year and we're happy as can be! We had so much fun building our Christmas fort. Now we're enjoying the 12 dates of Christmas each day. Tonight's date is to go shopping for a Christmas record. Do you like suki's pug pjs? me too… xo. elsie
ps. If you're a new reader you might not know that building a fort is Mr. Larson's and my holiday tradition. We started it the first Christmas we were dating. Last year he wrote a side project EP and called it Fort Christmas. Here's one of my favorite songs…

So cute! The Leave Behind is my favorite song from that EP too, it always gets stuck in my head, haha. Merry Christmas!
I love that song + I love your fort. It is such an adorable idea 🙂 Your pictures are always so cute! I have A Very She & Him Christmas on vinyl & I love it. We also have Charlie Brown Christmas. I think I would like to add an Elvis Christmas record to that collection 🙂 since we live in Memphis & all.
I don’t quite understand the fort … Do you mean piles of blankets and couch cushions like children make? I think my husband would think I was nuts if I built one and asked him to get in it with me! Lol. But it sounds like fun so I just might try. And yes, I love the pug pjs!

LouLou, yes… the kind of fort that children make… it’s our thing. 🙂

I adore the fabric strip fringe! What did you use to tie the strips too, and did you use a special knot?
Dang it you kids are cute. Love it. What a sweet, holiday infused space to share with you husband!

I’m totally borrowing this idea–Paul and I are building a fort this weekend in the living room, making popcorn and watching Christmas movies. It’s going to be awesome! Love your 12 dates idea, too.

Hi Elsie! Do you know that in Florida near Orlando there is a town called Christmas and there is an actual fort there, called Fort Christmas? Just a fun little fact! Love your blog!
Your love is such an inspiration! You two are adorable and it’s so great you keep fun traditions like this. I’m taking my man ice skating this year to keep our Christmas tradition (even though I’m absolutely awful and he just pulls me around the rink). Great pictures and Merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing 🙂
