nope, not Christmas stockings (yet). this is a display of one of my veryyy favorite Autumn/Winter trends, colorful tights and leggings! i have accumulated quite an impressive little collection (this is only half) and i have a SERIOUS problem of forgetting that i have things if i can’t see them (this goes for everything in my home from clothing to studio to kitchen) so i am a HUGE fan of open storage of all types. seeing things daily helps me use them. i love that.
i added the little ‘stockings’ banner for a little bit of early Holiday love! <3

That is a good idea! I have to do that for my jewelry. I have all my necklaces hanging on my wall and my earrings in a couple teacups on my makeup table! Those are really cute tights by the way! I don’t own any. Where do you find cute ones like that?

I’m all about the open storage wherever possible, and I have oodles of coloured and patterned stockings bunched up in drawers – I have to do this as I can never find the ones I’m looking for! Plus it looks cute. Yay, thanks for the inspiration!

I have the same problem – I keep frogetting things I have and sometimes buy them again! Happens all the time with stamps, has also happened with shoes before….
Open storage is a good idea but how do you tackle the dust problem – and won’t you have any problems with i.e. mnoths when you have wool and fabric in the open? I lock my fabric in see-thru plastic containers becuse I am afraid that something might happen to it since I use it rarely.

i am an open storage fan, too…especially for my kids clothing..it’s so nice for us all to see what they have & i love that things don’t disappear into the bermuda triangle of furniture (dresser drawers! ugh.)…i love all of the color in your life 🙂

This is just so beautiful and sweet. What an ainamzg thing to have and to be able to pass on to your daughter! The handwork is beautiful, and imagining her working on it, putting that love into it that you put in when you make something for your child…and now all of that is passed on further and further into the generations!
