I love this blanket! I'm always looking for new ways to decorate our living room without spending too much. This design is bold, but still cute. You can make one too, here's how…
1. Supplies: throw blanket (we picked up a simple blanket at Target), Martha Stewart All Surface Paint, paintbrush, scissors, cardboard, and cork. 2. Begin by cutting out various shaped hearts. We made three sizes to create a gradient design. Add corks to the back to make a handle for the stamps. 3. Begin adding layers of paint to the hearts and stamping them onto the blanket.. 4. Continue stamping until you have a pretty pattern! We did a fun pattern of large, medium, and small hearts. Touch up any spots with a paintbrush.
I'm not the only one who likes our new blanket….
When I walked by several hours later, this is what I found! (heart=melted) โฅ Hope you have a lovely day! Elsie

Yep, that blanket is no longer yours. It’s the dogs! I’ve seen that face before on my puppy. She has staked her claim on that blanket. You might as well start making yourself a new one. But she’s darling. How could you ever be mad at that face.

With a friend of mine you started a blog where you upload photos of hearts. Hearts that you see in unexpected places in the city, photos of heart shaped things and etc. And now my eyes see everywhere hearts! I love that!
I am so happy to see that you like this magical shape so much.
much positive energy, deborah

I love when my dog figures things out herself! so cute
So cute! I think I’ll try a dark throw blanket with gold triangles to match my decor ๐
Q: So will the paint come off when you wash it?
A: Martha Stewart craft paint can be used on all surfaces, including fabric. I haven’t tested whether handwashing or machine washing works better, but this blanket is something I would probably hand wash anyway! XO!
awwww such a cute dog and the blunket is just perfect for him!
Such a cute blanket (and so simple) and such a cute little doggie too!!

So cute! I love this blanket. I have 3 special blankets, 1 was made when I was a child, 1 was made out of my mum’s clothes after she passed away, and 1 was made out of our wedding fabrics for our bed as a wedding gift! They are all so special to me in different ways! Handmade blankets rock!

You are giving me craft-inspiration for EVERY week! I would love to do this~ but does the blanket paint dry and is still soft? or does it feel crisp/scratchy? Can you order Martha Stewart paints online?
