Have you decided what to buy for Father’s Day?? No pressure. ????
Laura put together an Amazon Prime wishlist that you should totally check out. If you’re wanting to make your gift this year—keep reading! We’re also sharing some meal ideas (and a few desserts) in case you’re hosting a lunch or dinner this weekend.
DIY Gifts
Put some extra love into Dad’s gift with a handmade mason jar sleeve for camping trips and early morning coffee.
This buffalo check soap is softy scented with rosemary essential oil (you could also use fir needle).
We love this simple leather keychain. Don’t forget the leather paint in his favorite color.
Grab some spice jars and make a set of homemade seasoning mixes. So easy!
It just takes one trip to your local thrift store to find an old frame that you can makeover with paint, wallpaper, or other embellishments. Add a sweet photo of you and Dad and you’re all set!
These wooden bottle stoppers would be the the perfect addition to a bar cart. You might want to make some for yourself, too. 🙂
One of those “why didn’t I think of that?” moments. This wooden sofa sleeve is practical and sleek.
How about a homemade bottle opener that won’t get lost in a kitchen drawer?
Lunch + Dinner
Let’s talk about food! If you’re having family over for a meal, you should totally make these veggie enchiladas. They can be prepped beforehand, so you can just pop them in the oven when you’re ready.
Since Emma mostly eats a vegetarian diet, we don’t feature meat-based recipes on the blog. But, our jalapeño popper black bean burgers can easily be made with ground beef if Dad’s into that.
You’re probably thinking…BBQ sauce is NOT a meal. Ha! Well, we still wanted to include this one because it’s homemade and delicious. If you’re grilling this weekend, it’s a must have. Need a side with your meal? Try these brown sugar baked fries.
Sweet potato tacos are fresh and healthy. That means more dessert!
Grilled cheese is always a crowd favorite. We added fresh pineapple and jalapeños for a (literally) spiced up version.
Our favorite thing about macaroni and cheese is… it’s the BEST thing ever. Comfort food at its finest. This version can be made in a crockpot.
Brunch
If you’re having company over for brunch, you have to make Emma’s savory French toast casserole. It’s the best of both worlds!
Buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwiches? YUM. If you don’t have time you can use pre-made biscuits. We won’t tell!
Maybe you want cronuts to go with your breakfast casserole. Or maybe you just want cronuts. Either way, these are super easy to make.
Desserts
You’ve probably had no-bake cookies before, but here’s Emma’s favorite recipe. We promise they won’t last very long.
Apple pie made easy—this version can be made in a crockpot. We LOVE crockpots.
Feeling brownies? Emma did a roundup of her favorites—see which ones made the list and pick one that Dad would love.
Happy Father’s Day from the ABM Team! ????
