I love to brew tea in the sun, but during winter months it's good to have options. Iced tea is one of my favorite treats. I discovered cold brewing and have been loving the results! Cold brewed iced tea can be infused with herbs and fruits like mint, raspberries or cucumber. You can also use it to make Arnold Palmers… so delicious!
Just measure out 1 tablespoon loose leaf tea for every 24 ounces of water (more if you like your tea extra strong, or want to save time). Allow it to sit in your fridge, covered, for up to 10 hours. I like to do it while I'm sleeping, overnight. Remove the tea leaves from your pitcher and enjoy your brew.
Note: Brewing time can differ depending on the type of tea you are using and your personal taste. After one test batch you will know what works for you.
I used edible flowers frozen in ice cubes to make this batch super pretty. Don't like flowers in your drink? Try cubes of frozen fruit juice instead. Enjoy! xo. Elsie

Looks tasty! What pitcher is that you are using? It looks like it fits your David’s Tea infuser perfectly! I got into David’s Tea after your post about it and love it! I got the caffine free sampler for Christmas and my favorite is pink flamingo and I’d love to try it iced.
PS – Your ice cubes are beautiful!
Love your blog!
Such a good idea! Love the ice cubes.

This is an awesome idea! I’m curious, is your iced tea pitcher able to be purchased somewhere? Or is it super unique? 😉 My biggest problem with brewing tea and such is the cleanup afterward, and your pitcher seems like it’d be pretty easy to maneuver with hand washing.
I adore the ice cubes 🙂
I second the question on letting us know what pitcher and infuser you are using!
Omg! I’m a big tea lover and this is a wonderful idea! Both hot and cold. My fave is Birthday Cake by David’s Tea 🙂

I love the reflex of you too girls in the jar! jaja! Funny! Great ice cubes! 🙂
Cold brew is the best way to make iced tea but you really don’t want to brew it in the sun anyway since it leads to bacteria growth. http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/suntea.asp
love this! Thank you for the inspiration!!

Awesome! I love sun tea! I had no idea you could brew it in the fridge. Have you ever had hibiscus tea? It’s good! And usually comes with a flower in it, which is what made me think of it.
Amazing!
Love the edable flower ice cubes! I think they would also be very cute for a wedding!

Woww. thanks so much. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I am madly in love with those ice-cubes!! A must-have for my next summer party!!
I love tea I usually drink mine hot with a bag, I’d like to try it more fresh like this. And i agree the ice cube petals is a cute idea. But I am sensitive to flowers tastes and I don’t know which ones I like and don’t besides the rose. I just know I the rose is really too strong for me to eat.
Just dropping in to say yes please, I’d love to know where that pitcher is from! Fantastic!
This actually looks super delicious! I’m not a huge tea drinker, but I might give this a try sometime!
