July has been good to us here at ABM. This month we tried to get outside and enjoy the summer heat! We made lots of projects, shared tons of recipes, and generally just enjoyed the highs of midsummer. Wahoo! Before we really dig into August, let's take a quick look back at everything we did together in July.
Rachel is teaching us to weave! She shared the basics and a tutorial on creating shapes this month.
Elsie shared a before and after of her TV wall in her living area. And speaking of befores and afters…
We shared a very special before and after of our outdoor entertaining space. We also shared articles on laying outdoor tiles, making outdoor cushions and pillows, and also tips for adding outdoor lights.
We started a new feature we're calling Work Wears; you can see our first edition of Emma and Elsie.
Elsie shared tips for creating bright and sharp iPhone photos.
We made (and ate) so much good food this month. Here on ABM we shared: garlic and miso green beans, lavender blueberry muffins, southwestern baked eggs, easiest ever ice cream cake, cashew and carrot bread, quinoa shrimp scampi, toasted coconut chess pie, bucatini carbonara, spicy tuna melts, and baked quinoa falafel.
We had the pleasure of working with a couple experts this month, including Kingdom Coffee, who taught us the proper way to brew with a Chemex. And we kicked off our beauty series with AnnaRose, who first taught us how to get perfect beachy waves (with a flat iron).
We shared tons and tons of diverse and fun DIY and craft-based projects this month, including: Mandi's belt strap memo board, Laura's rad outdoor (painted) rug, Katie's faux fur chair covers, simple beaded necklace DIY, quilted modern art DIY, CMYK photo dissection display, design your own book shelf lining, and this cute colored mat gallery wall idea.
We shared a few beautiful homes, including at home with Danny Brito and Elizabeth Morrow.
We shared a few fun Sister Style posts along with announcing our limited edition collaboration shoes with Swedish Hasbeens.
On July 4th we celebrated our great nation (go, USA!!!!!) with homemade red, white, and blue colored powder.
We released our latest app, Party Party! And we were so excited to see it hit #1.
