Magnetized Mail Holder DIY

Magnetized Mail Holder DIY abeautifulmess.com I wouldn’t say that I’m naturally the most organized person in the world, but I want to be a super organized gal. Any little thing that I can do or find to help me fight clutter is always worth a try. I thought that I was heading down a good path by putting a metal desk organizer on my kitchen counter for incoming mail and important documents, but I ended up taking advantage of that fact that it could hold a lot of things and stuffed it full with way more items than I needed to keep. I decided that having a smaller system would still keep my papers together but would force me to keep only the important items and clean it out more oftenโ€”AND of course it should be cute too, right?

Magnetized Mail Holder DIY abeautifulmess.comSupplies:
-Pocket file
adhesive-backed vinyl
– scissors
-magnets
-super glue
-craft paper
-painter’s tape (optional).

1. Create your pattern shape (I chose a Swiss cross) and cut your template shape out of craft paper. Use this to trace your shape onto the back of your vinyl sheets and cut out as many pieces as needed. 2. Position your shapes onto the front of your pocket file. If you have some painter’s tape on hand, it is helpful to make little tape donuts on the back of each shape to keep them in place while spacing them out. Once in the right position, peel the backing off one shape at a time and stick them on to the appropriate spot. 3. Use your super glue to glue 4-6 round magnets on the back of your folder (or buy some that have an adhesive backing). Once the glue dries, you’re ready to organize your mail!
