Mini Leather Belt DIY

Skinny belt2Skinny belt1We are loving skinny belts this season! They can add a little pop of color to an outfit. And there are so many ways to style them; you can wrap the long end around it's self or leave it long and loose. So we thought it would be fun to learn to make a few skinny belts from leather. Here's how we did it.Leather belt DIY steps1. Supplies: Leather (or faux leather or other super thick fabric), scissors, buckles, scrap paper (we used newspaper) and a cropodile. 2. Use the scrap paper to make a pattern for your belt. Mark where you want the holes to go (do you want the belt to fit high on your waist or low?). 3. Using your pattern cut out your leather. You may need to use a couple of pieces and stitch them together if your leather is not long enough. 4. Punch two holes in one end of the leather. 5. Place your buckle between the two holes and stitch it together. 6. On the other end of the belt punch holes for the buckle to secure into when you wear it.  Skinny beltsHave fun making belts that match your outfits! xo. emma
