i started drawing with india ink again last week and i am super addicted.
in high school, my mom got me some calligraphy pens because i was into make my own comics. i'm really excited to be using it again… the lines are tiny & precise.
this is what the pens look like, if you haven't used these supplies before… so much fun.
another cute project i've been working on is this camper made from needlepoint supplies, gold sequin trim and velvet ribbon… i'm using a pattern from my camper kit.
this will probably end up being a mini album cover for a little summer scrapbook.
plans for the evening:
-update website & etsy with a few new lovelies.
-coffee with rachel.
-finish the new 'about us' page for the RVA site.
-make something adorable for a wedding magazine
(stitched felt florals for the wedding party?! i love this idea.)
&&&
-finally post tons of pics of the RVA weekend!

I’ve always wanted to give calligraphy pens a try–now I just might.
The camper is adorable, by the way. Can’t wait to see more pictures of the craft weekend!
have you ever tried rapid-o-graph technical pens? They come in varying tip sizes. I draw everything with them.
i love india ink. unfortunately in high school i spilled india ink all over myself and the dining room table…one ruined pair of jeans and dining room chair means that i was banned to use it in the house!
I love your camper! So darling. It’s awesome that your mom got you those pens and that you still have them. Lovely set.
I love, LOVE that your mom encouraged you so much, I will have to try india ink!!
I use india ink all the time too! I always feel like im in the 1800s when i use it tho lol
The needlepoint camper is SO CUTE! You are so talented…but you have the time to be which is what makes the difference. And I love India Ink, it is so “reliable” is the only word I can think of. Thanks for sharing, and I know how you feel some days about “I just wish I had 5 more hours”. Time flies when you’re having fun, huh?
THere is no such thing as too many starbucks cups sitting around in my opinion! 🙂 I love India ink…so fun. Your amazing Elsie!
