We are beyond THRILLED to announce that our Jack & Norma frames from BonLook are now available in two new colors!!!!
If you have been following along for years, you might remember that we first released these glasses with BonLook in 2014. Our goal was to create cute but very wearable everyday glasses (they work great as sunnies too). They are menswear inspired and I’ve been wearing mine for the last four years, although I had to up my prescription once during that time (guess I’m getting old, ha!). They are named Jack & Norma after our grandparents, who have been inspiring us since we were children. Our grandpa, Jack, passed away earlier this year. I hesitated to even type that because it still makes me really sad, but also it makes me even more proud of these frames since they are named after him and our wonderful grandmother, Norma.
We were so, so excited that BonLook asked us to do more colors of our bestselling frames, so of course we jumped at the chance and also used it an excuse to get ourselves new colors of our favorite glasses. Here’s what we landed on after going through lots and lots of different samples:
This color is called Licorice and it’s a deep, rich black with marbled specks of white and pink. We really wanted something with a pretty marble look and I also think that they almost look like they have a mini floral print to them. These are really fun, super wearable and probably my new favorite frames if I had to pick one. 🙂
This color is Rose, it’s a very classic and translucent pink. In the sun or bright lights, the frames become more transparent, but they always show off at least a subtle pink hue and can look even more saturated in low light. Obviously, Elsie and I love pink, but I also sort of love how these frames almost act like blush on your face when you’re wearing them. So fun and special but still super wearable. I also love that since they are somewhat translucent they will look just a little different on everyone’s skin tone, which makes them even more unique, if you ask me. I can’t wait to see you all wearing these frames!

I’m so excited! I’ve been wearing the snappy version of these glasses for years. I get compliments on them daily! So excited to try the pink ones!! Would love if they came out with a clear version too!
I love the “Snappy” ones too. Are you looking for completely clear or mostly clear? You may have already seen, but just in case you haven’t we do have a version that is mostly clear but with some sparkle call “Champagne”

I am like Emma, with a small “racine du nez”–the top of my nose is small, so glasses tend to ride way too low. This is an issue if one is very very very myopic AND with bifocals. Everything needs to be calibrated just so or it’s all out of focus. If glasses are too low, I have to practically do a backbend in order to see through the bottom part of the lens. My solution has been glasses with separate nose pads that can be adjusted.
Have you heard of Nerd Wax? It comes in a little chapstick type applicator and is applied to help prevent glasses from slipping. It might be a worthwhile investment for you if you find that it helps. <3
Oh I LOVE that name. Ha. I may check that out as sometimes mine slide down a little. Not so much that it effects my ability to see, but still. And yeah, ok, I probably half want to check it out bc of the name. 🙂

I’ve been wearing the Champagne ones for years, they’re my favorite! All of the Jack & Norma frames are sold out! Any idea when they’ll be available again?
I absolutely love these frames!!! Question- are they easy to take to the doctors/eye care place to get the correct lenses put in? (I hope that makes sense!)
They provide the lenses too! You can upload your prescription or they can contact your eye doctor. 🙂

Ah, ok. Yeah, we don’t have a completely clear in our frame. But there are some cute clear ones on BonLook in other styles. Good to hear though, just in case we ever do more colors. 🙂

OH NO! I just got my new prescription today went on Bonlook to order these in the old color champagne and their gone!! I am incredibly sad and may have to keep my current Jack & Norma Champagne frames with my old prescription because I can’t part from them. I’m so devastated. Please bring them back!
