New HSL Tool in A Color Story!!

Happy Friday! We just released a HUGE iOS update to our app A Color Story called Color+! This is a new HSL tool that allows you to edit specific colors in your photo. If you’re already confused on what HSL is, don’t worry, we got you covered. 🙂

HSL stands for Hue, Saturation, and Luminance. Hue is the shade of the color. For example, if you’re wanting to shift the hue of the reds in your photo, you move the slider to the right or left to make the reds either more orange/yellow or more of a deep red/pink. Saturation is the vibrancy of your color. Move this slider around to take the color away or bring more vibrancy (saturation) to it. Luminance is the brightness and darkness of your colors. This part of HSL can especially be helpful if a color is too overpowering.

Color+ can be used to shift colors and create a whole new look or to simply adjust skin tone without affecting the whole photo. Did we mention that it works on videos and boomerangs too? Yep, pretty magical! Watch the video below to see it in action:

You can test it out with a free trial in the app! As always, be sure to use #acolorstory on your edits so we can see how you use it! xo. The ACS Team
