New to the Oui Fresh Beauty Box? We are a monthly beauty subscription box that is non-toxic, cruelty free, beautiful, and fun! We’re here to make clean beauty accessible and enjoyable to dive into, and we love introducing small business and indie brands to our subscribers through this box. Read on to find out what’s in store for October, or click here to find out more.
This month marks ONE YEAR of beauty boxes! And, we have tricks and treats for you. To mark the occasion, we’re bringing you our very first themed box: the Halloween Beauty Box (click here to subscribe)! You may be thinking, “What am I going to do with a box full of Halloween stuff?” Worry not, pal—this box is full of festive but practical products, or items you can use year round. We are crazy about holidays around here—it just feels right to celebrate with you!
One of the most exciting things about this box is that we are bringing to our subscribers an unreleased lip product, and it’s the one that we’ve been asked about the most as we’ve been teasing our new collection on Instagram. Ready to find out which one?
Hydrating Lipstick in Buffy by Oui Fresh (value – $20 // available late October)
Meet Buffy—yep, she’s named after our favorite vampire slayer, and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our Halloween box than with a lip you’ll get before anyone else. This is Emma’s favorite lip product we have EVER released. Like, ever. She said she wears it almost every day! This shade is our most “everyday” shade of lipstick yet. It’s in between a sheer and high pigment and is the prettiest, super universal berry shade. It’s important to us that each shade we choose is flattering to as many of you as possible—we think you’re really going to love this one! It’s different than anything else we have.
Amplified Eyeshadow in Skull by Johnny Concert (value – $15)
Yes, hello—this eyeshadow is seriously STUNNING. Johnny Concert has some amazing color payoff, the best I’ve found in a natural brand and they have a rainbow of colors. I love this delicate, metallic silver that can be used for so many things besides an eyeshadow (this is going to look poppin’, gorgeous, amazing, perfect on everyone—especially on deeper skin tones). I like to use this “wet” by applying with a damp makeup brush because it gives better control of the fallout glitter. Anytime I’m using glitter eyeshadow, I usually apply it before my foundation so I can wipe any excess off before I put on complexion makeup. You can use this for a lip topper, (if you’re unfamiliar, this is when you use a light dusting over part or all of your lipstick to create a shimmering/multi-dimensional effect) a “seen from space” highlighter on your cheekbones, bridge of nose, and cupid’s bow, or a dusting on your collarbones if you’re feeling really fancy and celestial.
Takesumi Charcoal Detox Deodorant by Kaia Naturals (value – $10)
This charcoal grey deodorant may look perfect for Halloween time, but it smells like springtime and stands up to summer heat. Full disclosure: I have had a roller coaster ride with natural deodorants. I’ve fallen off the wagon many a time, and the number one reason was because I kept getting these weird rashes under my arms. What’s with that?! Oh, I’ll tell you what, BAKING SODA. And my skin does not like it. I finally found Kaia Naturals deodorant here in Nashville at one of our favorite shops, Lemon Laine, and when we were chatting with Kaia to partner with them again (we featured their incredible Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths last year), we were beyond thrilled when they mentioned they had these new travel sets coming out! These travel sizes not only give you about a month’s worth of use, but also come with a detox guide that tells you everything you can expect as you make the switch over to this amazing deodorant that is baking soda free, paraben free, aluminum free, propylene glycol free, and synthetic fragrance free.
Palo Santo Black Tourmaline Smudge Spray by Organical Botanical (value – $10)
We had to put something in this box that was a magical mystery ride (John Legend™), and we couldn’t be more excited about this item. You may have seen Palo Santo burned in a yoga studio or in movies, but Organical Botanical has poured all of that smokey goodness into this bottle (made with the lunar cycles) of course. The wood of the Palo Santo tree has ancient traditions of elevating vibrations to a higher plane before meditation, bringing positive energy to a space, and maybe most famously in pop culture, it’s said to chase away evil spirits. If you’re into this spray for the latter, this elixir is also infused with black tourmaline—a protective stone said to transform dark energy into a lighter vibration. Other less supernatural applications can include relieving headaches, stress, and anxiety. Palo Santo is one of the oils we sell in the shop and we get asked about it all the time. What does it smell like? Why is it so expensive? Well, this spray is going to answer some of your questions. Palo Santo is a precious oil with a very unique scent. We can’t wait for you to try it out!
Brightening and Soothing Eye Mask by Aeria Skin (value – $5)
This is one of Elsie’s very favorite sheet masks, and you could probably wear it to a Halloween party and be totally cool. There are three things we look for in an eye mask: gentle, hydrating (plumping), and brightening. This one hits all the marks, and then some! We love how fun the shape of this mask is, and it’s made from a charcoal sheet to detox. Remember, our friends the peptides are great for repairing signs of premature aging, and this mask has them! The mulberry and grape extracts are fantastic for evening out skin tone around your eye area without being too harsh. Aeria Skin always pulls through with the sheet masks. We haven’t tried one yet that hasn’t been amazing!
Hope this month is as fun for you to receive as it was for us to put together for you! We have some more themed boxes coming up—we want to keep things spicy for our subscribers and we have some seriously amazing collections headed your way. I honestly cannot wait to show you next month! As always, boxes are limited. Click here to sign up!

I can’t wait to use the new lipstick shade! It’s such a good formula – very hydrating.
After reading the Oui Fresh email and this unboxing post, I’m still a little lost on how to use the Palo Santo spray… is it meant to spray on my pillow? my face? on my wrists as a perfume, to my temples, etc? I’d appreciate any guidance!
Thanks!

It’s a room spray! You can use it for linens too (and it’s totally safe for skin as well) xx!
