I always love watching the videos you make of your trips. When editing do you use any particular software to make the videos look so dreamy and surreal or is it just really good lighting?
So sweet! Loved it! Looks like an amazing time!
How beautiful & lovely. Glad to see you all had a wonderful time!!! 🙂
I hope you have a beautiful day!!!

Awesome video!! 🙂
I love all the creative shots, Jeremy. The slo-mo reflection shot of jumping into the pool really caught my eye for some reason. I think it’s so fun that you all take different creative approaches to recording your time together. Must be fun to have a group of such close artistic friends!
This video is amazing and now I want a Go Pro. Also, that frisbee catch was awesome!
Oh my! You did not show the country of Costa Rica at all. Only yourself and the house. That’s a show. You could have introduce your reader to this country. Good luck next time.
You guys have NO IDEA how inspiring you are. I’m so happy you exist!
That was really well put together. I almost felt like I was watching a commercial for Expedia or something. lol

Hi Nicole!
Jeremy uses a Canon 5d Mark III to make all the videos on the blog (with the exception of the kitchen reno video- we needed a wide angle lens for that one and it only fit our 60D). He used Adobe Premiere to edit the videos.
xx! Elsie
Hi!
Jeremy used Adobe Premier to edit all our videos.

What a beautiful sweet video!

This video is fabulous!!
Would you ever consider having Jeremy teach a video class? Or maybe make a series of video filters based off your PhotoShop actions? I would definitely take/buy/fall in love with both.
A charmed life.
Kudos.

Did anybody else get seriously teary watching this?!
I don’t wanna be mushy, but I’m seriously so proud of everyone who makes this blog happen, who puts a bit of beauty into the readers’ lives every day, and who works so hard and plays even harder.
I hope there are lots more trips coming up- you deserve it!
I saw in the comments what program you used to edit it. Could you please share what cameras and lenses you used too? 🙂
That was absolutely beautiful. A personal family vacation home movie perfectly edited.
We’re honeymooning in Fiji and New Zealand in a couple months. Definitely want to take video.
Hopefully you guys will offer a class on shooting and editing home movies?!

xo Anita

xoxo
Taylor
Love this! Would you mind telling us what camera he used to shoot the video with?
On a different note, I’ve been trying to get myself to take more pictures and maybe even venture into videos to record memories and moments now that my fiance and I have moved to a different city, have adopted a dog and are about to embark on whole new adventure of marriage and family together, but at the same time I’m worried about not being present enough in the moment, always being behind the camera. You girls (and the rest of your amazing team!) capture your life so amazingly on camera and it is just so inspiring and I can imagine that you have beautiful physical memories to look back on in pictures and videos, and that’s something I want to have too, but I worry about being preoccupied with the perfect image, and wanting to capture everything through a lens that I won’t be able to truly share a moment with my loved ones or just with myself. How do you find a balance?
Great little vacation video!
I REALLY LOVE THE ENDING! Tremma are always so cute! Also, it looks like a bundle of fun and you guys seem to be wearing swimsuits for most of the holiday LOL now that’s what I call a vacation!
Yeahh that’s the kind of video i love!! My favorite part is definitely Todd jumping in the pool and catching that frisbee…seriously?!! So cool!
Perfect video you guys, thanks Jeremy!

What a beautiful video. Looks like you all had an amazing time! It’s going to be so awesome having this and all your photos to look back on one day far from now. That’s the best part about living this alternative life of a blogger/vlogger… sharing your life with the world means being able to share it with yourself 50 years from now! xo
jeremy nailed it again with the video & music. creative dynamo pow!
love the video! my cat was really into the music haha he stopped what he was doing and paid attention to the computer as soon as he heard it.
UGH SO SWEET, makes me want to get editing! Great vid.
Hey, love the video. Wow, pool, hanging chair, unreal views!! What is the name of the rental house or what part of Costa Rica is it in? Is it typical of the the of type of rental houses available? It looks absolutely idyllic!
Love this video. Would you guys ever do a tutorial or post on making little films like this – what equipment, apps, software you use + any tips, tricks, or hints you might have?
Amazing video. You really captured the essence of what it is like to spend time in Costa Rica. Thank you for sharing.

OMG I loved that all of you have been in my country, i read ABM since i was in high school and has helped me, in my career of textile designer here in Costa Rica. I’ll be glad to meet you here in my country and show you all the good designers from here.
XOXO
What a lovely video! It looks like you all had a marvelous time. Totally makes me want to tell my family we should all go on a trip there together!
So, what does this trip have to do with your “business”? What’s the point of posting all this on your blog? Was this trip a vehicle for gabbing about the latest Modcloth swimsuits? Those of us with real jobs would really like to know.
Looks like so much fun! Can you tell me where Laura got her black headwrap she’s wearing in the scene with all you ladies on the beach? It’s über cute!!
What a lovely video!!!
Loved this! Where in Costa Rica were you?
awesome video! would love a post with tips for making/shooting video trips!
Hey ladies! I used to live in Santa Teresa, teaching at a school on the beach. Here is a video I made while living there- thought you might be interested! 🙂
