Our Favorite Budget-Friendly Swimsuits (For Kids, Too!)

Today, we’re rounding up our favorite swimsuits—but not just any swimsuits. These are both budget-friendly and flattering. We love a cute one-piece, and high-waisted bottoms are a godsend. 🙂

  • If you’ve got larger boobs (I’m a 34G!), Figleaves has super cute swimsuits with great support. They sell a lot of brands, but their own brand is what I love. They’re usually pretty inexpensive, especially for cup-sized suimsuits, and often go on sale.     For my son, I usually buy Zara Euro swim trunks or shorties (I hate long, baggy swimwear on little guys).

  • It’s disappointing to see small business owners promote amazon so much! I’m all for budget friendly, easy to find items, but it’s a turn off to see so many amazon round ups on your blog.

    • Agreed. It is starting to get constant on this blog. Sad because it seems incongruent with their values at times (capsule wardrobe challenge, making re-useable items). No prime day for me. My plan is to walk into my favourite book store and local handmade clothing store and spend my money there. Happy Non-Prime day to you all.

  • Is there anything cuter than a baby swimsuit??!! I’m expecting my first baby (a girl), and I can’t wait for next summer and swimsuits! Also: I appreciate the Amazon roundups, and that you regularly link up to small business owners as well. Keeps it well rounded for readers who have different lifestyles and budgets. Prime became my BFF after a life altering diagnosis a couple years that included major driving restrictions. I’ve found so many cute things through your posts that I didn’t even know were available on Prime!

    I do wish y’all featured at least one or two plus sized options (and not just up to size 14/16, but like 24/26) and a larger bust option once in awhile, too. I feel like sometimes the fashion posts on this blog are exclusively for y’all’s similar slim figures, and while I respect the ownership of representing yourselves on your own blog, I do think you’d reach more people if you were just a skosh more body positive in this regard. Your style is great and seems pretty accessible and flexible for a variety of individual styles, but not everyone is shaped like this. Most sites you guys promote stop at size 12, max.

    But I know y’all work hard to be inclusive, and I really do appreciate that. Honestly, your brand is strong enough that maybe you could bring attention to this issue and encourage your associate brands to expand their sizing. Over half of American women are considered “plus sized” by the fashion industry’s standards. You’d think they’d want to bank on that by serving that demographic more. #nomoregrannyflorals

    I am trying to lose weight, but heck, I have to have stuff to wear, too, on my way to being a healthy size again. (Whatever that is for each person and their ideologies).

    • I completely agree! None of these cute swimsuits would support my boobs, and I’m not sure the rest of me would fit in them either.
