we had a very merry little Christmas this year. it was full of brand new traditions and happy times. on Christmas eve we opened our stockings and all our gifts (except the big ones….haha.. we're like little kids!). mr. larson got me some cute vintage dresses, shoes, and the prettiest vintage china. i got him a special shopping adventure (which we took on Sunday). i'll share photos of the gifts we gave over the next few weeks in outfit posts since they were mostly fashion related. oh… and a cute mid-century chair!

we had the best time with family. tons of sweetness. my favorite moment of this season was giving my dad this guitar. our families were so overwhelmingly supportive this year. we were closer than ever. i love my family so much and i'm incredibly thankful for Jeremy's family… they're wonderful.

On Christmas night we started the new tradition of doing a special dinner, just the two of us. It was so nice and relaxing. I made a little dinner and we hung out all night with warm blankets and our little pug. cozy!

the day after Christmas we took family photos with Mr. Larson's family and then headed off to Kansas City for some shopping. jeremy got tonsss of super cute clothes and I got a few pretty things too. we had pizza and coffee and great conversation all the way home. it was a little bit snowy this year and very pretty.

holidays make me feel really lucky. wish i would have taken more photos, but too busy relaxing i guess. 😉 XXO. els

  • Funny that you were in KC on Sunday, because I live in Olathe (KC suburb) and on Sunday night, I was in Springfield seeing some family and then having my photo taken in front of Red Velvet Art!! Can’t wait to come back sometime when the shop is open.

  • That was our Christmas night this year too!! We did Christmas Eve with my family, Christmas breakfast with our church, Christmas lunch with hub’s family, and Christmas dinner snuggled up with our dogs, eating tacos. Total bliss. I hope we get to do it that way every year!!

  • I love that you two are setting up your own traditions. It’s nice to get away from family obligations and just ‘be’.
For the last 3-4 years my Husband and I have made a Christmas Eve tradition of cooking a nice meal and sitting down to watch “Love Actually”. We both adore that movie and now my Hubby won’t let me watch it on any day other than Christmas eve so it stays special!

Oh and I love your self portraits by the way, something I’m not so great at myself.

  • I love this post – it looks like you had such a wonderful Christmas with your family. I also like that you and Jeremy started your own special holiday tradition – how exciting that next year will be your first Christmas as husband and wife, too (the greatest new tradition of all!). 🙂

  • Merry Christmas 🙂

I would love to see an organization post on how you keep productive and orderly while creative all at the same time! It would be especially good to start of the new year!

Thanks for a lovely blog to read each day!

  • So sweet. Holidays make me feel really lucky too. Something about the nostalgia of it all.

Can’t wait to see your vintage finds!

  • it was nice, having a little snow, wasn’t it? not blizzard weather- just enough snow to make it really feel like Christmas.
hope yours was a wonderful one!
    🙂

  • Would it be possible for Mallory to give some tips for aspiring DIY designers? I’d like to produce a few dresses by myself and am finding that most online tip guides are confusing or too disjointed. How does outsourcing work? What’s the most efficient way to sew dresses yourself? Should you sew by request or have a set with different sizes available? Which sizes should you have more of? …and so on. 2945abc45 0422 http://www.primesale.com
