A few weeks ago Mr. Larson and I spent an entire day deep cleaning and redecorating a few rooms in our home. We recently acquired three new rooms and have become a tiny bit home obsessed! First things first… we took the sunroom (which was previously used as a band practice space by Mr. Larson's little brother) and turned it into a bright and cheerful breakfast nook. It's my new favorite room in our home!
Here's a before and after peek. I love sunrooms because of the natural light and happy vibe. We hung twinkle lights so it's pretty cozy at night too. Perfect for sipping hot chocolate.
My favorite part of the room (pre makeover) was the vintage records displayed above the windows. We kept this part of the decor and added a few new records (the David Bowie and Queen records are gifts Jeremy gave me last year).
And because I tend to think that every small accomplishment in life deserves a pretty reward Emma and I made a cute little dessert display on our day off yesterday!
Guess what we're up to today?… Redoing our studio space at Red Velvet. I can't wait to share photos in the near future because it's quite a crazy project. I'm super excited to have a new work environment. I think it will be the perfect way to start the new year. Love, Elsie

Ps. Your brekkie table looks yummy!
This is so cute. Your dessert display reminds me of my mom’s Candy Tray. Every year the day after Thanksgiving, the candy tray comes out. It is fillied with homeade and store bought Christmas candy poured into an assortment of pretty glass cups, bowls and vases. The tray is out until Christmas and it is constantly full! Magical and dangerous!
LOvely little corner of your house! I have always wanted a breakfast booth. Maybe one day!?!….
I love the table, and the tray is bursting with the prettiest colors
It looks so cute and clever and i especially love those fun stripy straws!
I love the table and chairs……very much like the set in my house growing up.

Great job!! The room has a super sweet feel to it.
I just wanted to express how much i love reading and seeing a beautiful sister bond, in working together and sharing moments. It’s a dream of my sister & I to work together one for ourselves(although we have worked in a number of other jobs together, it’s not the same), in life and in craftiness. I just love it!
It looks so great and is so inspiring!!! I loveee all of the windows in that space!! And of course….the candy. And straws. And flowers. Oh Elsie you kill me with cuteness π

I absolutely love the idea of having vintage records above the windows, lovely way to add a bit of a personal touch and good choice with the David Bowie record x
I love sunrooms. They’re my favorite, but I’ve never actually had one! I’m definitely planning on having one in my future though. I have it all in my head…it’s rather elaborate, but I will practically live in that space!
Your blog is very good, I like it very much.I like what you said.
How cute! I would definitely take advantage of a breakfast nook if we had one! Enjoy it π
I can’t say how much I love the table and chairs in your sunroom. I hope you enjoy many lovely meals in that room!
I agree with you, natural lights looks better than artificial lights in house, it can also add a warmth ambiance in the place. The room is quite simple yet it has an appeal to the eye.
Your breakfast nook looks really beautiful; it has the touch of the spring season and a retro theme. I appreciated how creatively you have made use of the record disc covers as a wall decoration. Adding up those tiny lights on the windows sets up a romantic mood for dinners.
Wow, so beautiful. I like this style.
I really like the idea of the records, my husband collects them π
