I am in total Mom mode when it come to photos of our daughter Lola. I feel like it’s basically a game of “where can I put another photo of her” in the house at the moment because, well duh, she’s just too cute! This post is sponsored by our friends at Canon USA, and I love being able to easily print these photos at home! Since I want the wall decor to be cute/fun as well as functional (so I guess it should be FUN-ctional then), I wanted to try adding some pom-poms to a frame to add some textural dimension. All you need are a few items and a good show to binge watch while you make a few pom-poms and your new frame will be done in no time!I recently received the same printer as Elsie uses, the Canon PIXMA iP8720! The iP8720 is perfect for the large-format printing jobs, and I’m loving it! It can print up to 13×19 borderless photos and the quality is amazing. Here’s all you’ll need for the project and a little video tutorial on how you can make one yourself!
Supplies:
-photo paper (we recommend the Canon semi-gloss paper)
-printer (Mine is the Canon PIXMA iP8720)
-frame (I found my white one at Hobby Lobby)
-yarn and pom-pom maker (a few different sizes works best) (you can also buy them pre-made if you want)
-fabric scissors
–hot glue gun
If you ask me, the results are FUN-ominal! (Sorry, I had to!) But really, I do think it’s such a fun little project and while you could totally cover the entire frame if you wanted to, I like how the poms are clustered in different corners of the frame so they trail off as they move to smaller and smaller sizes. Choose whatever mix of colors you like or use the color of the frame for a monochromatic texture effect. Don’t poms just make everything better?!? xo. Laura
