Ready for a special drink recipe? We teamed up with our friends over at Numi Tea to make this cocktail for a perfect Valentine's evening at home. It's tart and fruity with floral notes, as you might guess. 😉 And I'll show you how to make the cutest garnish ever—rose petal confetti! Rose Pomegranate Martini, serves one
Vodka
Numi Organic White Rose Tea
Sweet Vermouth
Pomegranate juice
Fresh mint leaves
Cherry bitters
Aromatic bitters
Rose petals
HoneyTo infuse your vodka with Numi Organic White Rose Tea, simply pour 1 cup vodka into a container and add one tea bag. Seal the container (mason jars work great for this!) and let it sit for a few hours or overnight in a cool dark spot. When it's done your vodka should be amber colored (like sweet tea). Sometimes floral drinks can get a little overwhelming and taste a little more on the potpourri side. But this tea was perfect for getting all the flavor I like without going too far.Next, up rose petal confetti! This is my favorite part.
NOTE: If you want your rose petals to be edible, be sure to buy organic roses. They're not easy to find, but some of our local grocery and health food stores carry them from time to time. 1. Chop colored rose petals into tiny bits, like confetti. 2. Use a clean paint brush to brush honey onto one side of the rim of your glass. Be sure to keep the honey only on the outside of the glass, not the inside. 3-4. Press the honeyed rim onto the rose petal bits until it is completely covered with confetti! In a shaker, combine 1.5 ounces pomegranate juice, 1.5 ounces vodka infused with white rose tea, half an ounce of sweet vermouth, 1 dash of each bitter and 3-5 broken mint leaves. Shake with ice and pour into your pre-garnished cocktail glass. Enjoy!Do you have any special plans for Valentine's? We're thinking dinner at home this year! I'm looking forward to making a little feast of all our favorite foods. xo. Elsie

I can’t get my head around eating roses yet, but plan to try this summer when I’ll be certain that my home grown flowers will be organic, and I think I’ll be rimming some glasses with honey and rose confetti because it sounds too charming to miss out on.
It will be a homemade feast for us as well this Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait.

I’m actually starting to feel thankful my boyfriend has never been on your blog. He might start expecting me to be the domestic goddess. Your Valentines ideas are great I might actually use one of it if I manage to take a day off work.
