Singapore Sling

Singapore sling recipeThis is a cocktail that Elsie and I had (quite a few times) while on vacation in Mexico earlier this year. It was my first time ever visiting Mexico. It was a laid back vacation spent on the beach (on a resort). So to me, a Singapore Sling will always taste like a tropical vacation. πŸ™‚How to make a singapore slingThere are a ton of different Singapore Sling recipes available. I read online that the original recipe created at the Raffels Hotel (in Singapore) is no longer being served. Although that might sound kind of sad, I actually think it's a glass half full (liquor pun!) kind of thing. You don't have to worry about adapting the recipe to whatever suits your tastes. Many of the recipes I saw included grenadine, which I've chosen to omit. I just think the drink is sweet enough without it. But you can be the judge. Make it the way you like it.Singapore sling ingredientsSingapore Sling, makes one.

I like to garnish each drink with a cherry, pineapple wedge and fresh lime. I really love the Cherry Heering. I can't wait to find other uses for it.
