Hi, friends! With the new year our minds are full of goals and challenges for 2015. We love a good challenge! Goals drive us forward, keep us inspired, and give us something to work toward day in and day out.
With that said, committing to a new year's resolution can be slightly intimidating. It sort of elevates that one goal above all the other goals in your life, which is exciting… but makes the choice that much harder if you ask me.
Let's go for it! Let's choose a challenging, inspiring goal and go for it in 2015! Now let's listen to pump up jams together… it's gonna be a great year!
Elsie's Wearing: Bag/Gift Shop Brooklyn, Top/ASOS, Sweater/Not sure (bought it at a cute little boutique while traveling), Pencil Skirt/Ruche, Boots c/o Swedish Hasbeens.
Emma's Wearing: Dress/UO, Blazer/ASOS, Boots c/o Seychelles, Purse c/o ChicWish, Outer Coat/F21 and Hat/borrowed from Elsie.
xoxo! Elsie (and Emma)

Elsie’s skirt is perfection! Love the look!
That yellow skirt – love!!
Brooklyn bags and Swedish Hasbeens are quite a bit pricy for us average readers. Maybe you can show some comparable looks for less. Ruche prices are much more reasonable.
Thank you Deanna! π

You guys are too cute! I love the pastel pink and the mustard. Very pretty.

We totally can/do share a variety of fashion here. I’m a big believer in shopping high, low, old and new. I think that some things are absolutely worth saving up for and others are better to keep inexpensive! I tend to spend more on bags, boots and coats that I can wear over and over and save on pieces like skirts, tops and jewelry.
We got your back. :))

lovely outfits. π

These are my favorite sister style pictures you’ve ever done! Way to step up the game in 2015 ladies! You both look gorgeous and real and powerful as always. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all!
WOWWWW! one of the best sister styles you’ve ever done… just gorgeous! AND THE PHOTOGRAPHY!!! whooooo! taking it up a serious glamour notch! can’t wait to see more from this photographer! BEAUTIFUL! <3
Way to class up the mid drift look, Elsie! I love you both and your blog is phenomenal. Thanks for sprucing up my morning coffee (and days)! <3
She’s very talented, right? We loved shooting with her. π
-Emma
I have been loving the sister style posts. So cute!
Soooooooo cute! Especially ove the pencil skirt and Hasbeens!
Loved this post. You girls look lovely as always and the photographs themselves are also wonderfully taken.

One more thing! I am so glad you incorporate quality, responsibly manufactured fashion into Sister Style. Yes, I have my fair share of ‘fast fashion’ (F21, H&M, etc) but I’m trying to move towards higher quality clothing and accessories that last forever. Totally worth the investment!
Wow, I agree with one of the other comments, I think my favourite SS. These are great photos!
Thank you! We were trying out a new photographer for these. She’s really sweet! I’m sure we’ll shoot more with her in the future. π
xx- Elsie
Haha- thank you! π
-Elsie
Yes- we are big believers in mixing high, low, old and new. One of my personal (style) goals for 2015 is to incorporate more vintage and to be more intentional about choosing good investment pieces. π I don’t think I could ever dress 100% fast fashion OR 100% designer.
Thanks so much!
-Elsie
Emma, that photo of you where you look so dreamy, is perfection π
I am excited for 2015, too! I love this time of year after Christmas, when I have time to reflect on the past year and make plans for the future.
Prettiest π Sarah is the bomb (obviously) but your new photographer is a dream!!
Elsie can you share a hair tutorial? I LOVED your messy bun one (a long way back). Would you consider sharing a half-up style that includes how you do your curls (maybe a video?!) π
Ps. Emma, hats should be your new thing! And pigtails. I love all of your sister style posts but this one is top 5! xo
I’m feeling the New Year bug as ween. I’m a creature of renewal however, and my reset button gets pressed a lot, and I’m happy that it’s falling on the New Year this time. Makes it seem a lot more substantial. I will be taking the time to write about the old and new.
Adorable outfits as always! Elsie I LOVE those shoes!!!
These photos are beautiful! You both look so lovely! I love these darker hues!

You both look gorgeous in these (of course). Sein did a great job, these photos of you two are so lovely.
Love the skirt and the look!!
super cute outfits!
this is sort of a silly question for elsie–i have a thick fringe in front too and zero hair styling skills. very fine dirty blonde hair, but a lot of it, about halfway down my back. i usually let it air dry wavy or blow dry straight and it gets terribly boring, especially when i want to look a little bit special, like for weddings or date night. i’ve tried doing the half-pinned back look with a little poof but it never wants to stay in place! i’d love to know what products you use. would you ever consider doing a tutorial for hairstyles for women with bangs? thanks lades! xx
Aww, you both look so cute xx.
Gorgeous girls!! Love your style π

Oh Elsie, what CUTE booties!!!!!! Love both of your outfits….love them!!!
Elsie’s outfit is perfection!
I love all of your sister style posts because you two have such unique styles. I really love Elsie’s skirt, and I really regret not purchasing it from Ruche a couple of weeks back. Emma’s pastel pink blazer is also really beautiful.

Amen to that! Never in my life will I spend 250 on one pair of shoes! If only I could find some more reasonably priced clogs, though…
These are the lowest priced clogs I know of (& still cute) http://www.lottafromstockholm.co.uk/clogs.html

I rarely comment but this sister style is spot on! A couple weeks back one of you was saying you were strugglig with your winter look…well just keep makinnoutfitsnlike this and you’ll be just fine. π that style of Swedish hasbeens are to die for. So unique! Blessings in 2015
Hi Kaitlyn,
Do you tease your poof? Underneat the top layer my hair is basically a mess of teasing! That’s what makes it stay in place. I have pretty flat hair when I don’t tease.
What kind of hair tutorials do you want to see??
-Elsie
This is super cute! You both look darling. Elsie, this skirt is totally you and those shoes are ones to keep FOREVER! π
Okkaaay, you guys can stop being so gorgeous. π Love the colors/patterns!

Y’all’s outfits are amazing. And I’m loving Elsie’s top.
I LOVE this outfit post! I usually can’t quite connect with the outfits you guys wear (people all have differnet style). But I really really enjoy this one, Emma’s outfit especially!
Keep up the good work and I love your blog!

Not a lot of grown women can rock pigtails without coming off as childish. I think Emma is rocking it! Happy New Year, you guys!
