I think that for the most part Emma and I would describe our styles as colorful. We're huge color lovers, and in the past year it's definitely been one of my shopping goals (yes, shopping goals) to collect more colorful outfits.
With that said, neutrals are forever. I have a secret pin board where I collect ideas for hairstyles and outfits I want to try. It's just a for-fun personal goal. And let me tell you, 99% of what I pin on that board is neutral with a little bit of red plaid mixed in. I love neutrals. For me, they are a comfort zone.
Can you tell we're about to share some neutral outfits? Yep. That's what's about to happen. Lotsa pattern too.
Emma's Wearing: Dress/ASOS, Top/vintage, Belt/Target, Shoes and Purse c/o ModCloth.
Elsie's Wearing: Scarf/ModCloth (old), Glasses/BonLook, Necklace, Top/F21, Bag/Gift Shop Brooklyn, Abstract Pencil Skirt/f21, Shoes c/o Swedish Hasbeens.
Cheers to a great weekend!! xx. Elsie + Emma

I love Elsie’s skirt! So great!
You two are my style inspirations forever π
Ps. I’ve been on the wait list for Jack & Norma at BonLook for a pretty long time, and I’m SO anxious. Any word on when they’ll be back in stock? I DREAM about the sparkly champagne color… hehe xoxo
Print also brings life to clothes x.

I’ve always been a colour girl, but I almost treated colours as my neutrals (all the pastels!) because I was most comfortable in them. It’s only been in the last couple of years that I have seriously fallen in love with black, white, and charcoal grey, and I mean in love. It’s surprising how many outfits can be created with a few pieces in those shades!

You both are so so cute! And I love throwing a top over a dress to make a new outfit like Emma did! It’s a great way to ‘dress down’ a dress. Plus you get double the wear out of your dress because it becomes a fun skirt as well. I work in retail and you would be surprised how many customers have never thought to do that. Loving the outfits, ladies!

Yeah! Isn’t this pattern the craziest most perfect pattern in the world? I’m thinking of diy-ing it on a plain skirt that I’ve got π

I love the way you’ve both taken neutrals but made them so far from boring. Emma’s little pop of colour with the belt is also amazing!

You ladies are so inspiring with your patterns! I’m currently working towards adding much more colour into my wardrobe, and this reminds me that I also need some more pattern in my life! <3

I always think of Elsie as wearing Black, White and Chambray as her signature and Emma in more 70’s colors like turquoise, mustard, or cream. But the way both of you mix your pieces everything functions as a neutral!
I love the combination of black and white. Classic and chic. And you guys are so good at mixing patterns!

Elsie I absolutely love your look! I live in black and white, it’s absolutely my comfort zone. Sometimes I feel like I need more color, so I just wind up putting on deep red lipstick π
As you know, same here! Neutral doesn’t come naturally for me. But you girls pulled it off well! π

You two are just too fab!
Do you guys plan your outfits around a theme, or does it usually come together naturally and you design the theme around the outfits?
Woow ,amazing look ! I have a request of that clicking in the most recent entry (choies) ? π I will be very grateful π

That giraffe headband is so cute!
I love all the pattern mixing. Pattern mixing can make even a neutral outfit feel “colorful” to me.
