Our hometown, Springfield, MO, is a big small-town kind of place. Which feels like the perfect size for me. But, even though I kind of like having my places and routines, and feeling like it’s SUPER easy to get around, I still get really excited when I find new cute places. So I was stoked when my (photographer) friend Janae told me we should go check out Flora and Fern—so cute! If you’re a local, you gotta go check it out, especially if you are a plant lady. 🙂
Love discovering “new” places, even if it’s in my city.

Take it away, Sister!
Yeah, Sis… I hear you! Ever since we moved, we’ve been trying to keep up the habit of trying at least one new spot where we’ve never been each weekend. It’s been the BEST thing for getting to know our new city!
We’ve tried fancy places, divey places and everything in between. We even have a little book that we keep notes in when we really love or dislike a place we try. It’s so fun! Our little hobby!

Emma, you are the epitome of cozy vibes in this outfit. I love it so much. <3
Elsie, I love that pom pom detail! Your outfit is more of the fall I get to enjoy living in SoCal.
Those are some absolutely gorgeous outfits! I think i might give visiting a new place in my city every weekend ago, i haven’t lived here very long so I’m sure there are some adventures waiting for me!
We need to hop on board with you guys – living in LA everything always seems SO FAR AWAY, and we have gotten in a bad habit of always sticking close to home. Trying to push myself to buck up and make the drive and explore new areas of the city because there’s just SO MUCH.

I love your tote bag Elsie ! Very much !!
It’s funny how places we have known for years can still somehow surprise us, isn’t it?
My husband and I moved to Springfield from Seattle a year ago. We are always looking for new places in town. We try to spend each Saturday driving around Springfield and checking out the gems this city has to offer. We love the various farmers markets, great local restaurants, and festivals throughout the year.
Both outfits are gorgeous but that pink dress is especially pretty. And even though I’ve lived all my life in the same city, me and my best friend go out every saturday to find new places and we always do!
I love your dress Emma, it’s beautiful!

Finding new places is so fun! I love exploring on the weekends with my husband – sometimes we find real gems and other times it’s not so great, but the whole point is the adventure, so we never feel like we loose out.
Both of your styles are really adorable. You always take fashion to a new level! Keep it up you two!
