Spooky Decor DIYs + Costume Ideas

Spooky season is upon us! There’s SO much Halloween content out there (hello, Pinterest), so if you’re feeling overwhelmed about decorating and figuring out a costume this year, all you have to do is get cozy, (maybe sip on something warm and pumpkin-y), and keep reading for our top picks this year.

Decor

This skull string art DIY is one of our favorite Halloween projects ever. We love how this can be used year after year (just be careful when you store it). And, here’s a skull pillow that can be made from an old sweater—you know, that one you’ve been meaning to donate. 😉Even though the title of this post has the word “spooky” in it, there’s still going to be some cute decor projects on our list, OK? These playhouse pumpkins are as cute as can be.

Throwing a kid-friendly Halloween party? Make a set of ghost piñatas and fill them allll the candy (so they have to work for it, haha).

Mix alcohol inks together to make colorful, marbled pumpkins.

Make a Halloween village out of wooden birdhouses. Elsie made these with her daughter Nova— so cute.

A super easy spider garland DIY. Hello, googly eyes!

Not into carving? Use straight pins to push fake flowers into a pumpkin. You can also drill holes and add glass beads to your pumpkins to create a pretty glow at night.

It really can’t get any easier than this. Use faux succulents and a plaster skull to make a centerpiece for a dining or coffee table.

Looking for more decor ideas? Elsie’s Halloween home tour is filled with them. ????
