hello loves. i am in the middle of the busiest (in the best way) week. getting ready for an update Thursday morning at 10 AM featuring a new kit and the first installment of a new 100 paintings series called “Team Lovely”. i cannot wait to share peeks with you tomorrow. it’s my favorite new project in quite some time.
i am also getting started on some big FAQ posts. i decided to split them up into different topics and my first post will be about daily life as an independent artist (little tips & tricks to stay in love with le work). i’m looking forward to sharing some fun little details i’ve never shared before.
well, i am in serious ‘creative lockdown’ for the next 24 hours or so getting things prepped for our update. it’s always my craziest time of the month. eat.sleep.make.
just for fun, here are a few artists spaces that inspire me….

Thank you for your wonderful musings! They inspire me everyday 🙂
Elsie,
You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for BEing an inspiration and also providing inpiration from others.
I am so excited for the FAQs. I would love to know the technical aspects as well as the creative aspects of your process, such as kind, brand and size of paintbrushes, pens, paints, etc.
As someone older (with four children) who has always had a creative desire, you have helped me step out and push my boundaries and have courage to try new creative endeavors. I have been crocheting, knitting and painting this summer and I am in the process of opening an Etsy shop – RetroModernSusie. You have been a huge inspiration to me.
I started out so many years ago as a photographer and writer, now that my children are getting older, I am making time to be creative.
Thank you for all your inspiration! And for sharing yourself with all of us. It means so much!
Susie

Do you ever have any outtakes?
I hope you achieve lots and lots this week. x
i dream of having an amazing home studio like yours. actually i dream of having a studio rather than doubling my bedroom as my workspace…is that a tattoo of a reel of cotton. how darling xx
Looking forward to the FAQ post!
Your studio looks lovely, what a special place to be. My “studio” is right here in our living room. I love it too although the kids steal my paints and expensive scrapbook supplies but who can blame them 😉

ack! seeing all these wonderful studios, really makes me sad that i haven’t spent enough time making mine more functional and a treat for the eyes.
also, i had a random dream last night that we were best friends… oye! ha.
Happy creating!! You’ve a wonderfully inspirational space.
Oh man. Those spaces are divine. Plus, I do love your new bangs! I always give myself home cuts and colors too. My hair it always a work in progress. It takes me like three days to do my bangs, and then I always do it a bit differently the next time, but end up wishing I hadn’t. 🙂
I saw these earrings on another blog and thought of you and how much you love spools–
