Hi there! I'm excited to share this quick and fun styling tip today. I have an insane collection of silk scarves. They come in so many pretty patterns and best of all, there are countless ways to wear them! Take a peek at this fun chart…
(photo source.) # 24 sorta cracks me up…
My current favorite way to wear a silk scarf is a nod to the 1960s turban style hats. It's easy to do and super cute! Here's how…
Just tie a (loose) knot in the center of the scarf and tie it on your head. It looks cute with your hair down or up in a ponytail! Enjoy….♥ Elsie

Hi Elsie! This is a square scarf, right?
#19 crackes me up. looks like you bunch it up and stick it in your cleavage. lol.
in high school I worked in a retail store that sells lots of silk scarves and most of our clientele were wealthy older women. I swear they knew some of the most creative ways to don scarves. I learned a lot of cute ideas from those ladies!
Kate… yes! this was done with a square scarf, a pretty large one. 🙂
XO.
I love this, and what great ideas in the diagram. I really need to start wearing the millions of scarves I have in my collection!
Love it! Never thought to tie a knot. Gorgeous.

i love this, thanks so much for the tips! also was wondering about the glasses you’re wearing in these shots…are they a one-of-a-kind find or would you be able to point me in the direction of who sells them? thanks!!
thanks for the new way to wear a scarf in my hair – cannot wait to try it out…

So cute! I heart those glasses! 😉
#25 is the funniest to me. Love it.
I can’t wait to try this with some of my scarves! So cute and stylish!
I love the knot in the scarf! I have all these silk scarves from my grandmother. I’m trying this. Tomorrow.
i love this 🙂 i’m definitely going to have to try this soon!
I love a good scarf…fabulous post! I love the creativity! I think this is also very handy with spring coming up! I like to find ways to wear scarves under hats…and I think a few of those will do! Thhhank you. Hearts, Janna Lynn
I soooooooooooo need those glasses <3
I love the scarf wearing ideas! I am obsessed with scarves right now. I have taken to wearing them with the same knot in the middle (much like your headscarf) and then a knot together at the end and wearing them like necklaces!
So pretty. X

i really like that chart!
haha, what the heck is #24 telling you to do? tie it to your shoulder? safety pin it to your shoulder? haha.
i like how 21 and 22 show that you can use it as a belt with and without belt loops. hehe.
that is a really cool way to wear a scarf, i like the knot.
love it!

This is awesome! I have a scarf just sitting in my closet doing nothing.
Oh my gosh, thank you for that style chart! I am forever wondering what to do with my silk scarves. I think that my favorite way at the moment though is the way you’re wearing it — I’m just a tiny bit obsessed with the turban look at the moment.

i like that “28 ways’ to wear your scarf” chart. i could use some of these! and guys could use some for their ascots – but that’s a totally different fashion altogether 🙂
It’s beautiful, Elsie! I’m trying to find a good way too use my scarves for so long… I’m going to try this one for sure!

Great chart! I wore #5 {but worn like a headband with the ends over my right shoulder} all through high school. Honestly, I’m not sure I’m on board with all the turban-styles coming in this year. Looks cute on you though!
Haha has anyone ever told you you remind them of Zooey Deschanel? 🙂 The headscarf is too adorable!

ok i have to know, how do you keep stuff from falling off your head? Everytime i wear a headband, scarf, bandanna or barrette, it falls off of my head. Even the modern anti slip headbands.
Lovely ideas!

So cute! I’ve been wondering how to do this style a while now.
I love your glasses! Are those actual prescription glasses or are they just for looks? I have perfect vision, but I have kind of always wanted to wear glasses. If those are fake I would love to know where you got them!
i have seriously been on a vintage scarf hunt…can’t wait to try these out, thanks for posting 🙂
Girl Meets Handbag

Great scarf idea and fantastic glasses!
Are you wearing Warby Parkers in that first pic? I love those glasses!
I love how this looks, thanks for the tutorials too 🙂 I have a draw full of vintage scarves and I feel like I never give them a chance. I’ll have to try out some of these methods.
I’ve been obsessed with scarves lately & I’ve really wanted to try wearing one in my hair without it looking too silly! Thanks for this quick how-to! So cute <3
I love to put my hair in an updo and tie a scarf in a big bow behind my head, kind of like #7.
this is awesome thank you i’ve been wanting to do something like this!
Thanks for the tip!

Ooooh, love the diagram. I am a total scarf junkie (I have a whole drawer full of them!) … going to try this funky style today and see how it looks.

Great style to wear silk scarves by this way. Thanks for this very good idea, I never seen before.
love love!!!
Looks adorable on you…but I’m afraid it kind of reminds me of the knots we used to make in cheap handkerchiefs to wear around our heads when I was in middle school. Do you remember those? I don’t think I’m far enough removed yet!
Love the vintage scarf idea chart though

Thanks for this, I was just thinking I should find neat ways to tie scarfs, and wondered if it would be lame to google that.

Ohhh I like that a lot. And your glasses are super cute!
. I know that a pcbinagk is just a message indicating that some other blogger has linked to you, but there was also an added line which went [… ] bin ich in einem Artikel heir in dem es darum geht warum die Psychologie den MBTI nict ernstThe pcbinagk itself is at the end of the blog on Why does psychology diss the MBTI? but the part I typed above here doesnt seem to show up there. Anyhow, if you have a moment to look at it and let me know what it says I would really appreciate it.
Lo comparto porque me ha gustado mucho tu idea, por supuesto indicando que es de tu blog. Gracias besos
Love your style and that vintage chart is to die for! I plan on linking to this post in a blog post about silk scarves, or just in my vintage scarf listings on Etsy. Hope that’s alright, it’s a great post!
