This is may be only barely a recipe. I think I'll file this under my halfway homemade tag… because it's so easy. Which I like because some nights I just want something that I can make in about 15 or 20 minutes with little to no brain power. Not every night, guys, just some nights.
We occasionally eat fish or seafood at our house, and salmon is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love this miso and honey variation, but when I'm feeling like spicing things up, this is a close second favorite.
Sweet Chili + Garlic Salmon, serves two.
8-10 oz salmon (if frozen thaw first)
2 tablespoons sweet and sour sauce (any brand you like or have on hand)
1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (or a little more if you like more spice)
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon olive oil
salt + pepper
Simply grate or mince the garlic and combine in a small bowl or cup with the sweet and sour sauce and chili garlic sauce. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly oil with a little olive oil. Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Then spread the sauce over the top. Bake at 400° for 8-12 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through (check with a fork in the thickest part before serving).
Cut the salmon in half (if it's not already cut into two) and serve along side a big salad or steamed vegetables. I'm really into broccoli lately so that's what I went with. Happy (easy) dinner making to you! xo. Emma

Another healthy, delicous meal! I need to get some of that chili garlic sauce. Such an easy, quick, healthy way to add flavor to a meal.
That looks so good! http://www.hannamarielei.com
This sounds fantastic! I feel silly that I have never thought of something this simple. I always seem to go spicy or garlicy… I rarely combine them. I have some salmon in my freezer so I just might try this tonight!

Chili Garlic sauce is a favorite in our house. We’re always adding it in unconventional ways. “This needs something… let’s add chili sauce.” It usually works out, although we’ve had some distasteful catastrophes as well. Looks like a good recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I love that this is so easy and healthy! Definitely going to try it out!
This looks so great! I love finding fun salmon variations. Love this flavoring! 🙂

You should try this most incredible recipe with salmon! At home for my family of four we use four pieces of salmon, and fry them in a pan, before mixing one box of sour cream or creme fraiche, and mix it with one tbs of soy sauce, that we let stand for around 10 minutes, and then serve it with pasta and veggies of your choice! super easy, and its probably the most popular dish in our houshold
Sounds delicious and easy!
This looks delicious! I am always looking for new salmon recipes. I think my family is bored with mine by now. I will definitely have to try this out! Thanks ladies.

Hah I could eat a portion twice that size. Mmmm protein!
Whenever we cook salmon on a weeknight, we almost always serve it with just broccoli or asparagus. They’re just so easy and go well with the salmon.
This would be so good on the grill too. I love the little crunchy edges :-p
I love salmon! My favorite way to eat is with some type of lemony-balsalmic glaze, but I can’t wait to give this a try now! Looks delicious.

We eat seafood every Friday around here (unless it’s a breakfast for dinner kind-of night). Salmon is a top contender and it’s so easy to make. I’ve never tried the sweet and sour sauce and chili garlic sauce combination, but it sounds delicious and so easy. I always marinate mine in a lemon garlic vinaigrette marinade, but it’s time for a change!

We live in Alaska and eat salmon once or twice a week. This is one of our family favorites. Try adding chipotle chilis and it kicks it up a notch. One other family favorite is salmon with citrus fruit slices and onions covering it. A nice mild flavor.
I am always looking for Salmon recipes. This is dinner tonight!

This looks delicious! My boyfriend is normally the cook in the kitchen, so I’ll have to pass this on to him or, who knows, maybe I’ll try it myself. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been meaning to try getting more fish in our diet! I think the husband would approve of this too
The Salmon looks delicious, I’ll have to try that. But what really caught my eye was the table(?) it’s on.
Did you do that just for the shot or do you actually have a plywood table, because that would earn you massive cool points in my book.
YUMM!
Making this asap!

This looks so delicious, I really love salmon!
I can never bring myself to put sauce on salmon. I love the taste of salmon so much I’m always afraid I’ll ruin it.
But this looks so good that I’ll have to try it on something else. It would probably make a great baste for baked tofu… hmmm…
What a fantastic recipe. And easy too. Thanks for sharing

This was the perfect easy dinner to make tonight after a busy weekend. We substituted chicken tenderloins for salmon, and it was wonderful. Thank you for the continued fantastic recipes!
