As you may know, I am a recent Miso convert. It's just a really fun flavor that isn't overpowering in a dish. I love how it's savory but can easily be paired with a sweet component. For example, this baked salmon recipe features miso and honeyโyum! You could serve this along with a light salad (like I did) or a big helping of risotto or mashed potatoes if you'd like something even more filling. This is one of those recipes that will probably start making its way into our homemade dinner rotations. It features two things I love: it's delicious and super easy to make!Sweet & Salmon, serves 3-4.
13-15 oz salmon (if using frozen be sure to thaw first)
2 tablespoons miso paste (I used shiro)
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
juice from half a lime
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 tablespoon chopped green onions
Stir together the miso paste, oil, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, and lime juice. Add in the minced garlic and ginger. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil and spread over the parchment paper. Place the salmon on the oiled parchment paper. Pour over the miso glaze. Sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper. Let that sit and marinate for 10-12 minutes.
Bake at 400ยฐF for 8-10 minutes (until the salmon is cooked through). Sprinkle the green onions over the top of the salmon just before serving.I especially love this glaze over salmon, but it could work well over other fish too, like tilapia or cod. But if you're trying this for the first time, I highly recommend salmon. I mean, it's called Sweet & Salmon. ๐ Enjoy! xo. Emma

Im a miso convert too! Before I always used to have instant miso soup for example, but lately I’ve been cooking it from scratch and it’s AMAZING. This is a dish that I’ve wanted to try for ages! (Fish marinated with miso)

It’s soy sauce (with green onions) and hot chili sauce. I like having something spicy on the side sometimes. ๐

This looks delicious and healthy! In fact I’m getting ready to make some salmon right now! I like the idea of something sweet on top.
Looks so delicious and such a cute title.
I think this is a great alternative to the miso you normally get at a restaurant. I love miso too but avoid it when dining out because I’m worried that they just load it down with brown sugar. I can’t wait to try this one, the honey sounds like a nice light alternative to sugar.
I have yet to purchase miso and try some recipes with it! I’m a big salmon fan, and I love trying new flavours, so this recipe sounds like a hit!
delicious! and super healthy also.

Awesome! I live in Alaska and we eat salmon at least once a week. I have made salmon with miso (very similar to this recipe) and we love it! We sometimes use a balsamic glaze too. Our favorite is baked salmon with melted butter, parsley, crushed garlic and lemon slices. Let me know if you need some Alaska king salmon…I can hook (haha) you up!
I love salmon! This dish looks very delicious and yet very healthy
