Spring has sprung! Or at least we had a couple of days of sunshine and warmer weather here, and I’m pretty much over-the-moon about it! It has been a long, grey winter, and I’m so ready for longer days and colorful buds to start popping up from the earth. If I had a green thumb, I’d be outside working in the garden, but since I’m not really that good with plants, I’m channeling spring in my clothes and hair. Floral prints might not be that original but they’re certainly pretty, and a flower braid is a perfect and unexpected finishing touch. Bonus: it’s super easy.
Step One: Twist two small sections of hair from either side of your head into a small ponytail and secure with a clear elastic.
Step Two: Braid your small ponytail and secure with a clear elastic. You can add some other hair from where your ponytail falls if the braid looks too small or thin to you.
Step Three: Take your braid and twist it around in a circle. I like the top of my braid to be the outside of the circle and work the end of my braid towards the center (this way the outer edges are usually fuller).
Step Four: Secure your little twist in place with a few bobby pins and admire your handiwork!
That’s it! It’s such a simple little trick, but adds a sweet seasonal touch to your hair – no green thumb required! You could use this same technique to make a row of flower braids or even try it with larger braids for more of an up-do style. This would be a great style for festivals, or just whenever; I’m a big believer in dressing up and getting a bit fancy just for fun! The sun is out and birds are chirping. What other excuse do you need to celebrate a bit? Cheers, Rebecca.

So beautiful!!! I loved. Have to do this for the weekend! 😉
What a sweet, springy style! I’m all over any hairstyle that can be done in less than 5 minutes, so I’ll definitely have to add this to my repertoire.

Not sure what looks better – the hairstyle or the colour!
ooooooh you had the most perfect red hair I had ever seen! 🙁 So sad to see them go (sorry, never been a fan of blue hair). The style is nice though, as usual. I’ll definitely be trying it soon.
This looks so romantic, I really like that. And that hair colour, wow!

The final result looks so complicated, I would never have guessed the steps would be relatively easy! Still not sure I could do this on my own head without messing it up, but I’ll give it a try on my daughter’s hair!
