As promised, I'm back to share a few cocktail recipes from Emma's bachelorette party! This first one is super simple (and delicious) and the wow factor comes from the edible glitter. You can buy it from Etsy shops like this one.
The cocktail itself is simple grapefruit juice and Prosecco. It's light and fresh!
Beware, the glitter gets everywhere so if you are serving these at a party save it for later in the evening. Haha! Cheers to Emma! xoxo. Elsie

Ooh how fun! Love the edible glitter!
i love anything involving grapefruit juice…palomas are usually my go-to summer drink because of how refreshing grapefruit + tequila + lime is! this looks like a good one to fall back on too.

This looks fantastic! Plus, I’m a huge fan of grapefruit. Can I ask what the ratio of grapefruit juice to Prosecco was?
Looks amazing! Just bought some glitter and can’t wait to find an occasion π

I’ve never even heard of edible glitter! must buy some now! xx
The glitter is pretty, but nontoxic doesn’t mean it’s food! Disco dust is made out of plastic.
This is so pretty! Most likely the prettiest drink IΒ΄ve ever seen.
This is such a great idea! My girlfriends and I are excited to make our own cocktails and toasts for a bachelorette party this summer. Thanks for sharing such fun ideas!
Anything with edible glitter is my kinda thing! Love this!

Anne- we totally agree. Edible glitter is a garnish, not a food group. π Hey, your comment history is kinda negative. I hope you come here because you enjoy the blog and not simple to spread bad vibes.
Thanks!
I love this; it’s so fun and pretty!
This is just too glamorous, I love it!
Looks too good to drink!! But that’s beautiful. You and Emma always amaze me with your non-stop creativity π

Disco Dust is not the same thing as edible glitter. Disco Dust is ground plastic and is meant for displays or decorations that are removed prior to eating. It’s labelled as non-toxic because if accidentally ingested, it should not be absorbed by the body and will not cause great harm, but it was not developed to be eaten.
wow! edible glitter! what a great idea.
FYI- edible glitter isn’t actually edible. It’s still plastic.
Stunning! You guys are so inspiring. Log into beautiful mess daily! Love it all the way over in the south of England.
Wow, this looks amazing! Would love to try it! π

I think that one was my fave π
Just a heads up β Disco dust is non toxic, but it isn’t really edible. It’s actually finely ground plastic glitter.
OK I want one right now. Just because it sparkles.
This sounds delish. Love the name as well.
that looks fantastic and sooo easy! I’m totally making it for my frend’s bachelorette!!!
Looks lovely! The golden glitter finishes it completely.
I simply cannot believe that you can buy edible glitter.
All l can say is that it is a good thing that l didn’t have your blog around 10-15 years ago – otherwise l would have been soaking gummy bears in alcohol and making cocktails with edible glitter !!!
Very pretty! Unfortunately I don’t like grapefruit, but I bet I could use another juice
Amazing deco for a cocktail!
please post more of the cocktail recipes, I d also love to hear more about the structure of the bachelorette party as I m going to be planning one soon.
That’s so pretty! You girls really are extremely talented. xx

This looks oh-so yummy!
I REALLY wish I liked grapefruit juice! π Do you think it would work with another juice? It looks so light and refreshing!
The bartender in me is a little disappointing that there’s no raspberry flavor when the beautiful garnish is out of fresh raspberries – but the glitter itself, so pretty!
such a fun looking cocktail!
i love the idea of edible glitter too <3

hi guys, I really love the blog- have never commented before but feel I have to say something about this post if you don’t mind! I LOVE the look of the cocktail but I am concerned that you are stating that you used “edible” glitter even though it is only non-toxic. I work for the Food Safety Authority In the UK so please believe me I have come across confusion with the difference between non-toxic and edible products. The glitter you used seems to fall into the nontoxic category (I clicked through to the etsy link you gave) – that would mean it wouldn’t do any harm if accidentally ingested but ideally should only be used for removable parts of food decoration that aren’t going to be eaten. I know that another commenter voiced this concern and they were answered in a rather terse way that surprised me- sometimes what you perceive to be negative comments from readers may be of value to everyone who reads here- I think your post should at least clarify the difference between non-toxic and edible glitter (which does exist and is not plastic based!) I do really live the blog and I hope you will not perceive my comment as negative- I’m just concerned that misleading information about the glitter is reaching such a wide readership and I think people should be aware of what they are decorating their foods with!! can’t wait to see Emma’s real wedding photos, the bachelorette party looked so cute and fun! Miriam Hannigan xx
OMG! Did NOT know you could get edible glitter! AMAZING! Gonna get myself a vat of glitter and eat it with a spoon, yummy yums! *MIND BLOWN*!!!
Oh my goodness, I’ve never heard about edible glitter- that is amazing!

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa….so pretty!!!!!!!!!

Edible and non toxic are two different things. The non toxics are not for consumption, it just means you won’t die if you eat it. Try using Wilton products instead they are made from actual edible glitter instead.
