my mom recently gave me her high school letter jacket and sweater. i'm going to treasure them forever and give them to my daughter (you know, if…). for now, they've found a loving home in my closet where they make me smile every day.
over the weekend jeremy surprised me with a new song. i've listened to it a lot.
i remembered how to make faux TTVs.
that's all for now… Guess what? I'm having a little blog party on Friday. 🙂 If you have any links for adorable DIY projects or pretty things, leave them for me… please?
i'm blogging a lot this week. there's something special in the air… XO. elsie

Hi Elsie, there’s a tutorial on my blog for making a bow belt: http://tillyandthebuttons.blogspot.com/2010/06/bow-belt-tutorial.html. It’s a great way of using up fabric and a really versatile piece to add to your wardrobe, if I do say so myself!
An oldie but a goodie.
This was a tutorial I did a couple of years ago using the backs of old envelopes

And you can see the inside plus another version on my blog

I am loving everything in the comments! I have such a busy night of looking at everyone’s great posts!
I am a photographer and am hoping to make photographs I took at a car show into 5×7 postcards and selling them as affordable art. They’re mostly close ups with really great color and smooth darks, which I love. I thought you might like them too.

Also you should look into Brazen Betties in Torrington, CT. I’ve done her photos for her shop and it’s similar to yours only she has everything produced by local artists. It’s like it’s very own Connecticut based etsy store. You can see photos from our latest shoot here:
