Snow day! Yesterday we woke up to a magical winter wonderland.
Here's the view outside our house! Missouri is notorious for giving us a cold, but non-white Christmas. This happens pretty much every year. Then, months later when we are all aching for springtime, we finally get a beautiful, epic snow. That's kinda how it goes. Thanks, Missouri.
I'm thankful for fluffy white snow, for a warm house to work in without (too much) cabin fever and a husband who offers to grab coffee for everyone. 🙂That's a little bit from our part of the world. Time to cuddle up with hot tea and get some work done! xo. Elsie
Oh i hear you! We have the same sort of weather in England. It snowed a few weeks back and now is just cold and miserable but i hope spring comes real soon. Being this cold isn’t fun. x
this is funny because i did a “snow day” post just a few days ago! hehe. i am seriously dying for spring to come, but i have to admit the snow is pretty… at least ours (in Bosnia) melted pretty quick!
It looks so pretty – but I have to admit that I just want to get rid of all snow now, I need spring! However, there´s still lots of snow in my parts of Sweden so I think I may have to wait a while…
Moving from Germany to California brought a lot of weather changes, I really miss snow. I never thought I would say that, but there is nothing better than hot chocolate and a movie on a snowy day.

We got that storm too but it was rain this time around. I just hope we do not get another hurricane again this fall, 2 years in a row is too much. Oh yeah, hubbys that do coffee runs are THE BEST!

Usually we have one day of light snow every year if we are lucky, so I feel very jealous of the cozy atmosphere and all the fun I can imagine you are having there 🙂 I appreciate your attitude in being thankful Elsie.

Ooh the photos turned out beautifully! We live in Oklahoma and have the same luck with weather every year. A few years ago, it snowed in April! Unfortunately here, we were expecting some snow and got maybe half an inch yesterday. Oh well, it’s likely to happen again once or twice before spring hits here. Thanks for sharing!
Looks like you got the same pretty snow we did in Wichita. I love the way it stuck to the branches. It made for some really pretty pictures. We got 21 inches total and we’re not used to that at all!!
No no no not fair!! I want snow. I used to live in Minnesota but I’ve since moved to North Carolina and it’s really quite a bit sad not having a foot of snow at any given time. A chai latte and fuzzy socks on a snowy day just sounds perfect! Lovely pictures. xx

Even though I imagine the cold to be quite intense, I’m so jealous that you guys were lucky enough to enjoy snow. There’s something that’s just so beautiful and pure about freshly fallen snow…the crisp air just feels so refreshing and the sight of nature blanketed in white is too lovely!
Coffee and lots of cozy time inside sounds perfect for snowy days.

I moved to the Northwest last January and haven’t had much snow since. I have to travel to snowy places if I want snow! I don’t mind the rainy winters very much though, knowing it’s only for a few years. It’s giving me a break from having to clean snow off my car! Glad you enjoyed it 😉
The weather is pretty much the same here is England! No snow when you want it, and then loads of it when you’re expecting the trees to blossom – weird.
