Today I wore a vintage velvet dress from the 90s, Knock Your Socks Off Heel courtesy of ModCloth (they're so pretty in person… i die!), handmade gold necklace by me, black swiss dots tights and a houndstooth turban headband (lots of colors coming to my shop on February 1st!). Happy Tuesday.β₯ elsie

Love those sparkly shoes!
Shoot, are the 90s really vintage now? That is so weird to think. I wore a dress like that to the homecoming dance my freshman year in 2000. I was slightly behind the times, I guess.
I’m sitting here wearing the exact same dress in black! I thrifted it, and it’s so fun to wear. I feel like an ice skater!
the 90’s….are they really “vintage”? Already???? Eeek! Glittery shoes!!!
If 90s means vintage then I must be an antique!
I love the room this is shot in?
haha.. yes early 90s is technically vintage, although we don’t sell it very often through Red Velvet there are a few mini dresses that are so much fun!
Monica, these photos were taken on the third floor of our building (above the store). XO!
ooooh spring is in the air!! LOVE the shoes :))

How many years is technically vintage? Is it like 15?

lately, i’ve kind of been missing my old babydoll dresses & lace up boots from junior high — glad to know i’m not the only one missing the 90s! <3
and i've been obsessing over tights like these for days! i try not to wear mine often, because i'm terrified of snagging them -- luckily, i found another place that carries them!:)
*xo...
Those shoes are sick. you look gorgeous, as always!
Oh my gosh! I had so many velvet outfits in the 90s. Funny how a decade makes these things totally cute again! And the shoes! I love things that sparkle π

Wow! This outfit looks GREAT! Reminds me of a movie back in the 80’s like a flashdance photo shoot! Keep up the great work girl!
Those shoes! Wasn’t it Dana of Crafty Minx that offered a tutorial on how to do something similar to your shoes? There’s a good Project Restyle post! I just have to find the perfect shoe shape and then my toes are going to glitter land!
Great informative article. I wish to completely agree with you but there are some points which I may not completely agree. But apart from that I think you have done an amazing job in this piece of write-up ?

I have this same dress in black. I definitely recall wearing it with similar granny shoes in the early 90s, but they weren’t awesome and glittery like yours.
Yes you can use them to write checks get cash etc. BUT it is a huge mksiate!Rip the checks up ASAP they give you 6 months with 0% interest but charge you a fee to cash the check and they know you can’t pay it all off in 6 months. They will get thier money from you don’t fall into this credit trap!Live debt free! It is a wonderful feeling.
