You could do french knitting with those. Kind of like finger knitting only with the pegs and the result goes through the middle. I used to make little ropes that went on and on and on and on and on…
lol! i’ve wanted one of those for a while. ever since i saw danielle thompson using one. lol. and now i want one even more.
i’m happy you’re having so much fun with emma! 🙂

I found some kelly green “straw yarn” at a vintage shop a while back. I have used it for crochetting but I think it’s original purpose was for the flower looms.

Those flowers are so darn cute! I love them … and they would look great on layouts and a bunch of other things, too!! And the thing that is even better ,,, is that you get to do it with your sister!! Awesome!
that reminds me of when my mum used to make loom flowers when I was little, maybe I’ll search in the attic for it after this sudden inspiration?

Ooooh, pretty! I instantly pictured lots of those flowers on a straw bag -I used to have one when I was little and I loved it. But they were made of some kind of plastic yarn… And adult version would be so cool! 🙂

I had a lot of fun growing up making loom potholders. I have a metal one that was a hand-me-down but also a plastic one that I bought at a 5 and dime store that has now since closed. I remember buying bags of those nylon strings for potholders.
Good stuff! Thanks for the memory lane moment!
Those are amazing!
My hubby gave me a vintage loom for Christmas, and it has been SOOO much fun to play with!

Really Pretty. Have just put one on a gift wrapped in Pale pink Tissue. I made the flower in cerise to match the cushion inside. I used Indian silk hand made paper. Thank you.

I love my vintage looms. I bought some plastic-y raffia in bright colors and have been making flowers to adorn gift bags. I’ve also made tiny ones using the middle pegs only and made them into hair clippies. So fun. Can’t wait to try them with yarn and selvege edges.
This looks beautiful and it looks like it is alot of fun. Good job.
I remember that it took me FOREVER to get my vintage looms. I do like knitting and crocheting flowers, but there is something so adorable about making loom flowers. The petals are so much fuller (depending on how much yarn you use of course), and after they are done, you can cut, and fluff them without breaking the entire flower. You can add many things including beads that make them such an enhanced original beauty.
Flowers are looking so cute i really like it. What gadget for a fun and inspiring! I could do with different fibers and beads and son of son of color. The possibilities are endless. Thank you for sharing!
