Something that I don't mention enough is how magical it is to own a local shop. The photos above were taken on a regular day at work when we met some super cute girls from Oklahoma. It warms our heart to see groups of girls, mothers and daughters and cute couple coming in for bubble tea, cupcakes and dress shopping. We love seeing girls try on dresses and come out of the dressing room glowing and giggling! We really enjoy meeting people. It's magical. Just thought I would share a little peek. We're so excited to put up dozens of vintage foil Christmas trees this week! xo. elsie

Sounds lovely! Wish I didn’t live on another continent, Or I’d be there everyday!
very magical =)
Someday I WILL visit Red Velvet. It is not that far. I also own a local business, much smaller, but I enjoy watching our customers, many of whom have become our friends, find something that makes them happy or takes care of a need.
One day I will totally go! It looks so cozy and fun! xo Sarai

Feeling so inspired by your blog today, the weather here in England is very glum, so when I popped over to yours from Flickr, you were my ray of sunshine x http://blog.lobsterandswan.com/2011/11/shop-keeping-dreams/

This Blog is amazing! I’ve browsed it a lot and it is full of amazing stuff!

This is very sweet! I actually just went into my first vintage clothing store. It was magical and it made me think of you girls. I have picked up a few vintage items at thrift stores…but there was a different thrill and excitement about trying on vintage dresses galore with my best friend…and then finding the most perfect dress! It really is a lovely experience! xo
Yay! You have no idea how excited we were to see our picture on your blog! We have all followed your blog and business for years. That was such a fun and magical day meeting you and your sweet sister!!! Loved your shop and cannot wait to come visit again!
Ooo the velvety bows look scrumptious!
Your shop is so worth visiting. I am very grateful I was able to see it…no experience it. Thanks for always creating beauty!
another visit is in the works! miss that place.
Yay for Oklahoma girls!!! =)
You know, I really like your blog. But the thing I don’t like is that your adds cover as much space as your content. That stinks.
