Today we stopped in to one of our favorite vintage furniture stores in all the world, Funtiques. This is definitely one of those places we go when we need a little day brightening. It's a local treasure. The new location is so beautiful. If you live in our area (or plan to visit) this shop is a must see.
Hope you've enjoyed our little photo diary of one of our favorite shops! We'll share more local spots in the next few months. Do you have a local shop in your town that makes your day every time you visit? xo. elsie + emma

Design your own bracelet with ULINX. It’s a fun APP. http://www.ulinxjewelry.com
That sounds like such an amazing place!
One of my faves is the cutest shop called “My Local Thrift Store”, which is just 2 blocks from my house. It’s always full of treasures, and never fails to brighten my day!
I love funtiques!! When I lived in Springfield my husband and I went almost every Saturday. Definitely a day brightener!
I always love love love seeing antique shops across the country! Aaron and I had our first booth in an Antique Center at 21! It was soo much fun working our one day a week! Our neighboring booths were the quirkiest older couple who specialized in Art Deco pieces and the most hilarious and tiny guy with the biggest personality that was known all over NJ/NYC for his amaazing Mid Century stuff. I have such great memories of those times! 🙂

I´d spend SO much money in a place like that! 🙂

Oh MAN. Seriously – the amount of amazing vintage is the US is just…mindblowing. Sigh. Those pennants, glasses and that light fitting are divine.
Of course we enjoyed:) I don’t have such a shop in my town, even in my country I think, but I’ve seen the prettiest shop in the world in Prague, Czech Republic. Its full of beautiful furnitures (every one is unique) and colorful clothes. I visited it only once, but it definitely made my day!

What is that thing with all the clear containers with handles? 5th pictures down? I have no idea what it could be used for but I suddenly feel like I need it.

Yes, my favorite local shop in my town(the Valley in L.A.) is Handmade. It is a beautiful shop where local artists take there art, clothing, jewlery, and cute things of all sorts to sell. I can spend hours in that store. I’m sure you would love it there.
Love those lamps.

That looks like an amazing shop! I’m really sad that we don’t have shops like this in Germany – when I was in California last summer we drove by a little store called Hidden Treasures and it was so lovely. I still regret that I didn’t buy anything. You’re really lucky to have Funtiques just around the corner!

Looks like fun…have you girls ever been to The Future Antiques in St. Louis? It is pretty fantastic! If you haven’t been, you should definitely plan to go if ever in the area!
Vintage stores are the best – I looove riffling through all of the little nick-knacks and miscellaneous objects – You find the coolest things!

very cool place. we went there a couple of times at your suggestion after visiting the original Red Velvet store. My kiddos had a ball taking silly pictures at Funtiques.
I hope Emma bought that gorgeous pendant lamp she’s holding. I covet that!
Looks like such a fun place to visit! I have several places in my hometown and in my college town that have grown to be some of my favorite spots to visit! Love that you’re sharing local spots! Always fun to see a sneak peak in to your worlds! <3

We don’t have many thrift stores in Ottawa (not that I know of) but there is this place called “zone maison” in front of the American embassy which is all about home decor and furninture at a very decent price. I love it.
Makes me miss this great place I used to go to back home called the Junque Cellar; a basement full of vintage furniture, clothes, and collectables. These kind of places are so fun!

I love “tía emma”: it’s a cute shop and I always love to be there! If you’re ever in Frankfurt, then visit the shop!
I love that tufted, velvet couch. It is such a great color and looks soo comfy. I wish we had better antiques/thrift stores in the Charlotte are, but maybe I just haven’t found the right spots yet!

I’ve been staying at an amazingly vintage resort in Lake George (NY) my whole life. They’ve got the beach chairs like the one in the first picture 🙂
Agora in Athens, GA. You would love it!
This store looks great. Unfortunately there isn´t such a store in my town. But who knows, maybe some day someone will open one? I´d be the first one to check it out. 🙂
We have some fab little vintage stores around where I live … I really can’t complain … but if I had one teeny little wish it would be that they looked a little more like the gorgeous inspiring US ones that I see on the internet … x
I wish I lived nearby! That place looks amazing!
WOW, you hit the motherload for cool stuff! 😉
Love these photos!
And I love discovering shops like this – I treat them a bit like museums and can spend hours just browsing x
This shop looks amazing!!
I love that store too. My boyfriend and I went to Springfield for the first time in May and just happened upon that store and loved it! They always have great furniture it seems. ( i keep an eye on their new finds on facebook)
