Today we stopped in to one of our favorite vintage furniture stores in all the world, Funtiques. This is definitely one of those places we go when we need a little day brightening. It's a local treasure. The new location is so beautiful. If you live in our area (or plan to visit) this shop is a must see.

One of my faves is the cutest shop called “My Local Thrift Store”, which is just 2 blocks from my house. It’s always full of treasures, and never fails to brighten my day!
I always love love love seeing antique shops across the country! Aaron and I had our first booth in an Antique Center at 21! It was soo much fun working our one day a week! Our neighboring booths were the quirkiest older couple who specialized in Art Deco pieces and the most hilarious and tiny guy with the biggest personality that was known all over NJ/NYC for his amaazing Mid Century stuff. I have such great memories of those times! 🙂
Looks amazing! Not many shops like this where I’m from but I can see why it would brighten your day. Thrifting makes me happy – I love searching my local Value Village for great vintage finds.

Yes, my favorite local shop in my town(the Valley in L.A.) is Handmade. It is a beautiful shop where local artists take there art,clothing, jewlery, and cute things of all sorts to sell. I can spend hours in that store. I’m sure you would love it there.
Funtiques looks lovely, i especially like emma’s light fitting, very cool. My sister and i always go to Aladdins Cave when we have a day off, theres room after room of antiques and treasures. This weekend we bought the most beautiful powder blue seventies slip dress, which looks fantastic on my sister meg. Thanks for a great post!

wow! This shop is so well curated, and so beautifully lit! (sorry the photographer in me is coming out!) The Lucky Dy Emporium is one of my favorite local shops! I find lovely things there every time and it really does make my day every time I visit!

I’m really sad that we don’t have shops like this in Germany – when I was in California last summer we drove by a little store called Hidden Treasures and it was so lovely. I still regret that I didn’t buy anything. You’re really lucky to have Funtiques just around the corner!

We don’t have many thrift stores in Ottawa (not that I know of) but there is this place called “zone maison” in front of the American embassy which is all about home decor and furninture at a very decent price. I love it.
Makes me miss this great place I used to go to back home called the Junque Cellar; a basement full of vintage furniture, clothes, and collectables. These kind of places are so fun!
I love that tufted, velvet couch. It is such a great color and looks soo comfy. I wish we had better antiques/thrift stores in the Charlotte are, but maybe I just haven’t found the right spots yet!
This store looks great. Unfortunately there isn´t such a store in my town. But who knows, maybe some day someone will open one? I´d be the first one to check it out. 🙂
We have some fab little vintage stores around where I live … I really can’t complain … but if I had one teeny little wish it would be that they looked a little more like the gorgeous inspiring US ones that I see on the internet … x
I love that store too. My boyfriend and I went to Springfield for the first time in May and just happened upon that store and loved it! They always have great furniture it seems. ( i keep an eye on their new finds on facebook)
