With only 6 weeks left before our grand re-opening we're starting to get super motivated & (even more) obsessed with our big project! today mr. larson and i spent the good part of our day sorting dresses and lamps and choosing stuff to add the the inventory downstairs (to clarify… the second level of our building is like a giant warehouse full of vintage and the downstairs is the retail space- the above photos are all from the upstairs/warehouse, minus the cupcake). pictured above are some dresses i've been pulling for our wedding collection (launching in November!), pretty fiberglass lampshades, Mr. Larson 'modeling' by a rack of unsorted clothing and a snickerdoodle cupcake (Emma's 'test' item of the week… it was a winner for sure… i loved it so much more than a snickerdoodle cookie!). I think this is the first time I've shared any sort of photos from the second floor… it's overwhelming, in a really exciting way. Sorting the vintage (and more specifically the dresses) is my absolute favorite thing to do. Today we discovered so many amazing pieces. I'm so glad we're finally at the stage of setting the store up. It's such a dream come true. I can't wait to share more…. Hope your weekend was wonderful! XO. elsie

I always feel kinda dumb saying stuff cause we know you but don’t really “know” you, but I can not tell you how excited I am. This has been just an amazing year for you, your creative path, and personal life!!! AMAZING, and I am so happy for you and your family, especially now you are all in one place! I remember rummaging thru my granny’s old boxes all the time growing up, so I can only imagine what treasures you will be sharing with us! I wish you continued positive success
What a great storeroom! I can just imagine all the treasures you find every day.
I wish, wish, WISH we lived near your store, it’s going to rock (or even on the same continent would be a start!) π x
i would be in heaven amongst all of those lamps. i’ve been looking everywhere for some!
So exciting! I think I’m going to have to make a pilgrimage to visit when you open! π Snickerdoodle cupcakes would be my absolute fave, for sure. Yummmm.
These photos make me SO excited! And I MUST get the recipe for Snickerdoodle cupcakes – yowza! Wedding collection?! I can’t wait! I have been married for almost 9 years, but I would love to do a 10 year vow-renewal party<3
One day I hope to visit your store in person, but for now, I am perfectly content with buying your cute creations online!
I keep trying to figure out HOW you are getting these pictures! They look like they were taken with a Holga or some other medium format, but then I wonder how you develop them so quickly! WHAT IS YOUR TRICK!?
I’m happy that you’re blogging the entire journey from old store to new store. It really shows how much HARD WORK goes into achieving your dream and reading the posts make me feel like I’m part of the story. It’s like watching the making of Wonderland.
Your store sounds so magical! π

Of course Little Miami would go! These money grubbers would take money from the devil himself if it was offered.

Refrigerate them if a freezer is not available. Allow the food to cool to maximum coldness before placing them in the ice chest.
then fill the rest of the chest with more ice.
an ice chest might not maintain its temperature for as long as you would like. With a few methods in mind, you can improve the cooling abilities of an ice chest.
