What’s in my bag? A comb and hair tie (always), wallet, gum, extra mint tea bags (because you never know!), phone (my case is Ban.do for Anthropologie), Sunnies (from Toms), everyday lipstick and gloss (I love Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey and Tarte Lipsurgence for casual wear), extra bracelets, Ban.do heart pin, extra sharpies (because, again, you never know) and stray fortunes. Oh yes, and my clutch is Annie Williams. I love how real leather looks cooler with age. Well, that’s that!

I have to say, my bag is a WHOLE lot messier than this! Embarrassingly so! There are all sorts of mysterious objects hiding at the bottom; it’s usually a but of a lucky dip when I put my hand in there 😛
I daren’t reveal the contents of my suitcase…er, bag haha. It’s full of snacks for this prego gal and much more haha. Love that clutch! It’s very. Ice because it kinda goes with everything. Lovely!
I’ve normally got a stash of dinosaurs in my bag (they aren’t mine they’re my son’s) and I’d quite like to know how my husband can manage when he’s out without me because he never takes a bag yet when he’s with me, my bag is full of his stuff. As for old receipts, I’m so guilty of not clearing them out 🙂
My favorite bag is years old and I love how the real leather ages. Someone once told me it looked “well-worn, in a good way.” 🙂 The oddest thing in my bag is my son’s warmup pants that he gave me before his basketball game on Saturday (yep, they were in there almost a week!).
I’m using the same phone case! Love. On most days I use a giant vegan leather tote bag, and it usually ends up full of tangled yarn. 🙂

Oh my goodness, more like what’s NOT in my bag! A makeup bag, a mini hairbrush, snacks, sunnies, my phone…sometimes my iPad? it’s a big bag LOL

yes, thats true, when I have carry huge bag, I turn into a suit case, and it really annoying, specially because i don’t need all those stuff with my anyway. Love that clutch, very beautiful leather.
I like the idea of using a clutch instead of a purse (with everything but the kitchen sink).

I love that Clinique Almost Lipstick shade too! Here in Australia I heard the product is being discontinued. However, the Black Honey is the most popular shade, and seeing as it was Princess Diana’s favourite lippy, they might keep just that colour on the market. I hope so! One thing my bag has that’s different to yours, keys that I have no idea where they came from!
Real leather does always look better with age! I love all the cute stuff you have in your bag. How do you keep your sunnies from getting scratched?

I love your decision to carry around a clutch to help you simplify! I have been carrying around larger bags for years, and I am certainly guilty of cramming it with my camera, journals, nail polish, and who know what else!!
I carry tea too! Partially because my work place always has hot water but I don’t always like their tea choices… I also find random things for my dog in my purse like treats and extra pick-up baggies.

The clutch is a great idea! I’ve become an expert on packing small purses though. Once, when the security guard searched my purse in line for a concert, he opened my purse and physically jumped. His face was priceless. My friend said, “She’s worse than a mother.” It’s true though 😉

My journal has become pretty dusty since I discovered ‘notes’ in my iPod but it’s still kicking around in there. Lemon tea bag, yalang-yalang solid perfume, my wallet (which is clutch like so I can attempt to simplify sometimes), a book, a few mini handmade dolls to place on the street corner and a vintage linen hanky.

The bobby pins in my bag would last for at least 3 other persons, but you know those little brats, they’re in another parallel universe every time you need to find one 😀
My bag has: clips, hairpins, sewing kit, tampons, a mini torch, pens, sunglasses, glasses, phone, wallet, headphones, crackers, sultanas, matchbox cars, lego mini figures, jelly beans, blistex, bandaids, spare nappy, wipes, spare romper and that is just the first compartment… can you tell I have four kids?! Yep that clutch idea really holds appeal…
Mine is super messy.
My wallet (stuffed with old receipts, business cards and bus tickets, along with a mixture of currency and buttons), about 5000 hair grips, a broken necklace which spilled 100 fake pearls through it, a pen which leaked and for some reason, huge grains of salt from a pretzel.
Living the dream.
In my bag you can find a pacifier, diapers, wipes for my little daugther and
paints and notebook and cars for my older son…
So, by now, small bags are forbbiden for me, ha ha
Thanks for sharing! I do too prefer clutch bags (glam and cute) although I usually need to wear a big purse because I am a “just in case” girl and need to carry everything in it. Maxi bags and medium bags are cool but my first option is always a cross body bag for my casual comfy look.

I’ve been using that same Clinique Almost Lipstick for years – love it! also much love for old leather – maybe once a year I clean my old leathers with alcohol, slather them with good skin lotion and let it sink in, then treat them to a good rub with Vaseline. it really helps them keep a nice texture.
That bag is so beautiful!! I’m actually in love with it and i check this shop and spotted a gorgeous tote as well…need to control myself now…!! 😉

I’ve been trying to carry a small bag for the same reason and so far it’s working out great!
I am not showing anyone what’s in my bag! Mainly because you’d have to sift through all the crumbs from my boys’ snacks, and the threads left over from my sewing projects, before you even got to the (usually empty) wallet etc. Crikey it’s a good job I’m not a style blogger, I’d get sent straight to the jumble sale!

I abuse big bags too! I love the convenience of having anything I could want with me.. My paper planner (which is a smaller than in previous years), sketch book, etc etc etc. I am dying over this clutch though.. Thinking it may be a worthy splurge and might save me some neck/shoulder pain to simplify what’s in my bag. I love your finds!

In my bag there are lipstick, comb, perfume, hand&body lotion, tissue, phone, candies, and small scissors. Everything looks neat because I do not want my bag looks messy. Maybe sounds a little perfectionist 🙂 In addition I like to collect various kinds of bags and clutch. The clutch I like most from umaandleopold.com that I bought two years ago and still looks good.
